It started with one question: What does your favorite song taste like? Food and music have always carried our memories. A familiar dish can take you back to someone’s kitchen. One song can return you to a moment—or a version of yourself—you thought you had forgotten. I created SoulFood & SoundTracks to bring those feelings together at one table through chef-curated food, headphones, storytelling, laughter and the songs that shaped us. Years and five sold-out experiences later, my favorite part is still watching people arrive as strangers and leave calling one another cousins. This is more than dinner with music in the background. The music is part of the menu, every guest becomes part of the story and the feeling goes home with you. If you’ve attended SoulFood & SoundTracks, what moment do you still remember? If you haven’t, what song would have to make your dinner soundtrack? —Jewel Moore Founder & Curator, SoulFood & SoundTracks #SoulFoodAndSoundTracks #ImmersiveDining #LosAngelesEvents #BlackOwnedEvents #ladinnerpartyclub by @soulfoodandsoundtracks
What does your favorite song taste like? 🎶🍽️ Apparently, it tastes like a feature. SoulFood & SoundTracks started with one question and grew into a sold-out dinner experience where food, music, memory, and Black culture meet at the same table. In this feature, I share the story behind the experience, how my marketing background helped shape it, and my vision for taking SoulFood & SoundTracks to cities across the country. This has always been bigger than dinner—it’s about creating a space where our “cousins” feel seen, connected, and part of the story. Thank you to @evrydayblkmag for recognizing what we’re building and giving our story room to shine. And thank you to every guest, chef, artist, partner, and team member who has helped bring this vision to life. What does your favorite song taste like? Apparently, it tastes like a feature. Today, the classroom became a kitchen, a listening room, and a place for stories. 🎶🍽️ In partnership with @thesolafoundation, SoulFood & SoundTracks invited students to explore how food carries history, music unlocks memories, and cooking techniques can be passed down like an inheritance. From smothered chicken and mac and cheese to sweet potato and banana pudding, students prepared each dish, gave it a soundtrack, and shared its story. Because food is never just food, and every table has a story to tell. So, what does your favorite song taste like? #SoulFoodAndSoundTracks #SoLaFoundation #FoodAndMusic #CulinaryEducation #BlackFoodStories LosAngelesYouth by @soulfoodandsoundtracks

#TBT So back in April, I got a random DM from someone in California talking about how they do immersive dinners that center around food, music, and culture. SoulFood and SoundTracks. Sounds dope right?! They asked to use my seasoning for @nolachef212 to make the food, and provide samples for the guests. I was hesitant at first because way too often people come to small businesses for free stuff. However, my heart said go for it and I’m glad I did! I whipped that work and shipped it across the country for the dinner that was this past Saturday . Why? Because “Food tastes better when it’s made with A Little Love.” . . . #ALLSeasoning #ALittleLove #ALLAcrossTheCountry #BlackBusinessMonth by @soulfoodandsoundtracks
