Now that's ELECTRIC, TRIC, TRIC, TRIC, TRIC...

I have waited over 25 years to see the @gorillaz and damn, did they not disappoint!!! 15 year old me was losing its damn mind last night!!!

One of things that @lavernecox once said that has stuck with me is it's never too late to have a happy childhood. And while there's many things I would change about my childhood, especially my teenage years, one of them would have been to see more concerts and live entertainment. I feel so blessed to be in a position to give my younger selves the things and experiences that would have lit their worlds on fire. And I'm grateful to give that 15 year old the "sunshine in a bag" that they deserved last night!! by @sourpatch_bear

I finally got my title vest on Saturday and now it feels real!!! Thank you @mr.s.leather for doing your thing beautifully!!!

I was told that it is tradition to christen your title vest in different ways. Some sleep in them, some do delightfully naughty things in them. I chose to christen mine by wearing it to the @bearrisonsf street fair, immersed in community I love, next to the man I love. Then I wore it to the @jessieware concert with my ratchet Good Judy, @ness.aaron where the vest could absorb the love, joy and power with which she performed.

My goal now is take that love, joy and power and share it with the community, local and beyond. I already have a few irons on the fire so watch this space! by @sourpatch_bear

Such a lovely time a few weeks back getting watch the new class of SF Eagle Title holders compete for and earn their place amongst the family. Congrats to Ariel Sky, Priestess Kaia, Bear, and Fynn; can’t wait to see all that y’all accomplish in your respective title years.

So who am I seeing on the floor? And what do you want to hear?!?! by @sourpatch_bear

Last night, I went to a concert I had waited over 25 years for and damn, was it worth the wait!!! I have been an avid fan of @melaniecmusic both as a Spice Girl and a solo artist and it was better and more moving than I could anticipated or imagined.

Her album, Northern Star, was one of my favorite albums as a teenager and heading her sing the title track live was an out of body experience! The song is both somber yet hopeful. The message was/is that life can be hard but it's still worth living. It was one of those songs that would lift me up and remind me that there was a place where I would belong when I needed it the most. As she started singing, I was suddenly in my bedroom as a teenager when I often felt lonely and isolated and Melanie was singing the song directly to me, telling me not to believe the cruel things said to me by the horrible people in the small town I went to high school in.

I sobbed the entire song and I couldn't barely mouth thate words that have been etched in my soul since then because I realized I am, in fact, in a place where I belong, where I am seen, known and celebrated for everything that I am. And especially after the elation of the past weekend, it was able to feel thar intense peace and relief of not having to hide myself. I'm safe and secure here and now.

Thank you Melanie C for not only an incredible show but for giving a lonely queer kid hope that things would eventually get better. Because they have!!! by @sourpatch_bear

The adrenaline from this weekend may be starting to wind down and my feet may be throbbing from wearing those heels two evening in a row (who's idea was that anyway?!?!) but my heart is bursting with love and joy for it all!!!

This means so much because I didn't see any of this for myself, especially when I started getting involved in the community. I spent most of my life feeling like an outsider, never really fitting in or belonging anywhere for a myriad of different reasons. And I was so afraid of being fully seen by any community for so long because it often meant some version of violence.

And then I move to the Bay Area and the journey to that stage last night was one of arduous, painful unlearning and rewriting of narratives that I was given by people that never meant me any good. It took learning not only how to trust other people but more importantly, how to trust myself and my skills and talents. Along with that, it took many stubbornly encouraging chosen family members who never ceased to remind me of my potential and push me to realize it.

Last night was more than a title run; it was an emotional dissertation on allowing myself to be fully seen, which was scary as hell at certain points. And while I couldn't be prouder to be chosen as an ambassador for one of my favorite places in the Bay Area, I'm that much prouder that I saw the process through.

So if you are struggling to find your place in this world, keep looking and keep working on healing yourself because the world needs you and your greatness. And it will pay off; Mr. SF Eagle Leather 2027 is living proof!!! by @sourpatch_bear

SHE'S A WINNER BABY!!!

I feel so overwhelmed with pride, gratitude and curiosity for the next year holds! But before I officially start my title, I would to honored the people that helped me accomplish something magical tonight!!!

First and foremost, big shout to my new 2027 SF Eagle title siblings, Miss SF Eagle Leather 2027 Priestess Khia, SF Eagle Pet 2027 Pup Fynn and the inaugural Mx. SF Eagle Leather Bear Mueller!!! Gauge Strongarm, you are a fucking icon and it has been a pleasure getting to know you through this process!! Let's turn it out this year!!!

Thank you to the judges, Beth Bicostal, Lindo de Francisco, Gray Ginson, MamaBear Leather, Pup Denali, Mx. Texas Leather Rebel, Xio, Mama Maggie May and Johnny Rodriguez for entrusting me the responsibility of this title!!! I'm going to everything I can to do you proud in these streets!!!

Thank you to the incredible producers Jamal Herrera-O'Malley Jeffrey Wayne Nunca Sola Alex W. Seidel for all of the hard work and heart you put into these events and these traditions that carry such deep roots in our community!!!

Thank you Den Daddy Patrick Stevens and Snack Daddy Jace for keeping us well supported and encouraged throughout this entire process; it meant more to me than you realize!!!

Getting prepared for this contest took a host of amazing people that kept me uplifted and motivated every step of the way!!!

Starting with Daddy Cody Elkin, you were the first person to see something like this in me; that kind of faith is something I will always hold close to my heart! I love you, Daddy!!!

I wish for everyone to have a ratchet Good Judy like Aaron Ness!!! Everytime you find out that I was doubting myself, you never let me sit in it for too long before snapping me out of it and reminding that I am that bitch in the most delightfully delusional way!!! And thank you for helping me conceptualize my looks this weekend; I hope I did you proud!!!

This one stings more than I could have imagined!!!

I remember watching Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time when I was 3 with my mom who also loved the movie. When Time Curry ominously came down that elevator and revealed himself as a sweet transvestite from Transylvania, something in me shifted. I was enamored by his presence, confidence and brash, unapologetic queerness, a queerness that I instinctively resonated with. And as I grew up trying to understand my queerness, he was one of the few figures I had to look to that would let me know there was nothing wrong with me.

From there, I grew to appreciate him as actor in my all-time favorite comedy, Clue. And I enjoyed the quirky roles he played in so many different genres. He was a creative chameleon, never just one thing, never pigeon-holed.

I will always be grateful for what he awoke in me all of those years and how Dr. Frank-N-Furter gave me and so many queerdos the framework on how to be and celebrate ourselves without restraint.

And if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cry and then go be as unapologetically queer as I can be.

Before we go, we want to give a huge and very deserved thank you to our 2026 costumer, Kipper. Taking on costumes for a show of this scale is no small feat, and we are so grateful for the care, creativity, and work they brought to Broadway Bares SF this year, including @irenethealien’s onstage outfits! 👾🎮⚡️

To learn more about Kipper, or to inquire about hiring them for costuming or custom garment work, you can find them on Instagram @snackum_dackum by @sourpatch_bear

The first time I set foot into the Castro Theater 9 1/2 years ago. I had moved to the Bay Area a few months prior and I was feeling that loneliness that comes with relocating to somewhere completely new. It was the first time I felt that first glimmer of hope that I may have found the place that I truly belonged since moving here. If only I could tell that person what was coming!

Cut to last night directing a whole ass show at the Castro Theater! And not just any show; a legacy show that does so much good in the Bay Area and around the world!!! Directing this year's @broadwaybaressf was a hell of a learning experience and I couldn't be more grateful to be a part of a show that raised almost $170000 to help those dealing with HIV, homelessness and hunger!

If we're the company we keep, I'm the baddest bitch because I couldn't have done it without the following bad bitches!

@leamydeb and @downunder_d Thank you for your trust, support and faith in me to take this show do something extra quirky and weird with it! And I know said last night but welcome to the Sainthood; you both deserve it and more!

@maggitita_ You pulled me into this show over 4 years ago and encouraged me to spread my wings for the following year! There's no one better I could have wanted by my side to take on this incredible challenge. Two scrappy Michigan kids fucking it up at the Castro Theater!

Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out for us last night! It was our privilege to perform for you! And thank you for helping us help others in our community!

Thank you to the entire cast and crew of StripStation 9! I appreciate your talents and skills as well as your patience and grace in someone who was directing at this scale for the first time! You know what you did last night? THAT!!! THAT IS WHAT YOU DID, FULL OUT!!!

Lastly, @jjthekillah thank you for being a great sounding board and creative partner! I am inspired by and in awe of the way you manage and handle things! You're a genius and I'm beyond grateful to have gotten to know you and work with you this year!
