POSTS STORIES REELS

We’re Jayson & Allison Newitt, the newly called mission leaders of the Spain Barcelona Mission! 🇪🇸❤️

Jayson grew up in Provo, Utah, and Allison is from Pleasanton, California. We met at BYU and have raised our family in Sandy, Utah, for the past 25 years.

We have four children — Kaitlyn (married to Colby), Tanner, Brinley, and Hailey — and treasure every minute we get to spend together as a family.

Jayson served as a young missionary in the Argentina Rosario Mission, and this will be Allison’s first mission experience. Our children have served in the Sweden Stockholm, Mexico Puebla South, Italy Milan, and California Riverside Missions. We love missionary work and have been blessed to witness the miracles that come through serving the Lord in different parts of the world.

We are humbled and excited for this opportunity to serve in the Spain Barcelona Mission and already feel so much love for the missionaries and people there. We can’t wait to serve alongside the wonderful missionaries in Barcelona, sharing the light and love of Jesus Christ. ❤️ by @spain.barcelonamission

What a special week Jayson and I had in beautiful Vienna, Austria! 🇦🇹❤️

We had the blessing of gathering with mission leaders from 23 missions across the Europe Central Area and learning from Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

Our hearts are full after a week of learning, feeling the Spirit, and being surrounded by wonderful people. We especially loved the reminder to minister as Jesus Christ would and help others become lifelong disciples of Him.

So grateful for the friendships, the lessons learned, and the blessing of serving together. A beautiful week in a gorgeous city! ❤️ by @spain.barcelonamission

Our last zone conference of the transfer took us back to beautiful Mallorca! ☀️🌴 We loved spending a few days with these incredible missionaries!

Our zone leaders and sister training leaders made the day extra memorable by rewriting the Toy Story song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” with a missionary twist! 🎶🤠

These missionaries never stop surprising us with their creativity, talents, and joy in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ! We love them! 💛 by @spain.barcelonamission

Does it get any better than gathering in a chapel on a street named Jesús Gràcia?! 🥰

Zone Conference Day #2! 🤍📖

A joyful day of powerful testimonies, favorite Book of Mormon scriptures, spiritual experiences, and plenty of smiles! We felt unity, faith, and love for Jesus Christ. 🙏

Zone conference day #1 with 4 incredible zones! These are our favorite days! 🤍 So much joy, energy, laughter, and love for Jesus Christ!

This week was all about the Book of Mormon! 📖✨ We love this powerful witness that Jesus Christ is our Savior, His gospel has been restored, and God continues to speak to His children today.

We sure love these missionaries! Learning, growing, and sharing the joy of the gospel together is the BEST! 🫶 by @spain.barcelonamission

Mission Leadership Council with our incredible Sister Training Leaders, Zone Leaders, and Assistants on a rainy day at the mission home! 🌧️✨ What a joy to gather, learn, counsel, and grow together as one united leadership team. We are so grateful for the love, faith, and dedication they bring to their callings—and for the powerful, positive impact they have in lifting, strengthening, and blessing our entire mission! ❤️🙌 by @spain.barcelonamission

Pure joy welcoming 17 new missionaries to the Spain Barcelona Mission! 🇪🇸❤️ After arriving by plane and train, we celebrated each one with special meals, including Five Guys for our final arrival. 🍔

These missionaries have said yes to the Lord’s call, leaving home to serve faithfully and share the good news of Jesus Christ. We’re grateful for their courage, dedication, and willingness to follow the Savior, and we’re excited to see them begin this sacred chapter with their wonderful trainers. 🥘

We know the Lord has prepared each of them, and He will strengthen and guide them as they serve, learn, and grow. We love them already—let the miracles begin! 🇪🇸✨ by @spain.barcelonamission

Once a missionary, always a disciple of Jesus Christ. ✨ by @spain.barcelonamission

What a blessing to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Spain Barcelona Temple! 🤍 Alongside the Saints in Spain, we celebrated the beginning of construction on this sacred house of the Lord—a place of holiness and peace.

We loved seeing so many from the community, including Sor Lucía, a Catholic nun we have the blessing of working with. We are all united in our love for Jesus Christ and our desire to serve God’s children. ❤️

It was also especially meaningful to see the second mission president of the Barcelona Mission, now 95 years old, return to Spain with his family for this historic day.

What a beautiful day of faith, community, and love for Jesus Christ! by @spain.barcelonamission

Palma Zone Conference on the beautiful island of Mallorca was a spiritual high with these incredible missionaries! We loved gathering at the central chapel in Palma—truly the “Grand Central Station” of missionary work, filled throughout the day with missionaries, friends, members, and so much joy. We left spiritually strengthened and grateful for the Lord’s work on this beautiful island! ❤️ by @spain.barcelonamission

Zone conference with the Zaragoza & Lleida Zones—August 28! ❤️

The day was filled with beautiful music, inspired encouragement, and so much love. We also witnessed a miracle we will never forget.

President Newitt shared the video message of a family Elder Bruce Hafen found and taught in Germany many years ago. As he finished, one of our beautiful missionaries raised her hand and said, “That woman who answered the door was my grandma.”

What a powerful reminder that we may never fully see how far the influence of one missionary—and one family’s faith—will reach. Generations later, her granddaughter is now serving the Lord as a missionary in Spain. God truly is in the details of this great work! ❤️ by @spain.barcelonamission
