Confidence building through communication 🎙️
Public speaking tips, storytelling & expression

I started Woice because I kept seeing brilliant kids go completely silent the moment someone asked them to speak. Not because they had nothing to say. But because nobody had ever taught them how. Hi, I'm Aakanksha - founder of Woice Public Speaking Academy. I teach kids and adults how to speak with clarity, confidence, and personality - in English, without fear. Over the last 2 years, I've coached 3 cohorts of kids aged 8-12 right here in Bengaluru. And now Woice is going online - so kids and adults from anywhere in India can find their voice too. If you or your child has ever: → Gone blank mid-speech → Felt too scared to raise a hand in class → Wished speaking in English felt more natural You're in the right place. Follow Woice for one practical speaking tip every week. Let's build that confidence - one word at a time. #publicspeaking #kidswhospeak #englishspeaking by @speakingwoice
How to stop saying umm and uh when you speak 👇 Most people think filler words are a habit problem - like something you just need to try harder to fix. They're not. They're a thinking problem. And once you understand that, the fix becomes obvious. "Umm", "uh", "like", "you know" - your mouth is moving faster than your brain. The fix isn't willpower. It's learning to be comfortable with silence. Two fixes that actually work: → Fix 1: Replace every umm with a silent pause → Fix 2: Slow down so your brain stays ahead of your mouth Save this before your next speech or presentation. #howtoStopSayingUmm #fillerwords #publicspeaking by @speakingwoice
The most powerful thing a speaker can do - and most people are too scared to try it. It's not a louder voice. It's not bigger gestures. It's a 3-second pause. Here's why it works - and exactly how to use it. Save this before your next presentation. --- #publicspeaking #speakconfidently #speakingtips #englishspeaking #kidswhospeak by @speakingwoice

What you do with your hands matters more than what you say. Most people focus so much on their words - they forget their body is speaking too. Here's the body language cheat sheet I share with every single student at Woice. 7 things to do, and 7 things to stop doing - right now. Introducing Woice Story Time - a storytelling podcast for little ones aged 3 to 6. Ouwoicestorytime #woiceindia #panchatantra starting with a Panchatantra classic: *The Elephant and the Parrot* 🐘🦜 For the past 2 years, I have used animated storytelling as part of Woice classes for this age group - and the results speak for themselves. Little ones at this age absorb the rhythm of expressive reading, build listening skills, and develop creative expression faster than you'd expect. Play this for your toddler at bedtime, on a car ride, or on a slow Sunday afternoon - and wait for them to come up to you with questions. It's a story about unlikely friendship, courage, and what happens when a small voice stands up to something much, much bigger. The kind of story that stays with a child long after it's over. Here's why I believe this format matters for 3 to 6 year olds: At this age, children are building the very foundation of how they communicate. They're learning how to listen, how to feel emotions through language, and how to understand that words have weight. When a child hears a story told with expression - with pauses, with character voices, with warmth - they're not just being entertained. They're absorbing the rhythm of language. They're learning that how you say something matters as much as what you say. That's Woice Story Time. Not just storytime. A gentle, joyful first step into the world of confident communication. New episodes every Friday - free on Spotify and YouTube Music. 🎧 Link in bio to listen. #woicestorytime #woiceindia #panchatantra by @speakingwoice
The first 10 seconds decide everything. Most people open a speech with "Good morning, my name is..." The audience is already bored. Here are 5 ways to open a speech that actually grabs attention - whether you're 10 years old or 40. Great communication starts with the right questions. 💬 When children speak, it’s important they learn what to say and how to say it clearly. At Woice Public Speaking Academy, we teach kids (8–12) to ask: 1️⃣ Is what I’m saying possible to realize? 2️⃣ Is it said clearly and precisely? Because confident speakers grow into thoughtful leaders. 🌱✨ #WoicePublicSpeakingAcademy #ConfidentKids #CommunicationSkills #PublicSpeakingForKids #ParentingTips by @speakingwoice
