Hard to believe it’s been two years since that phone call, especially when I consider the lifetimes I’ve lived since. 17 years ago, he gifted me a cross country trip on our motorcycles, and one year ago I set out solo on his bike after his passing to relive that memory and make some of my own. Without the slightest hint of a plan other than to make it out to Oregon and be in the mountains, I lived literally moment to moment, often not knowing where i would stay by nightfall. 10,000 miles, coast to coast. I cant say I had many profound epiphanies, found myself or gained any new-found sage wisdom to impart, but I did feel him, or at least his essence out there on the road, in the middle of nowhere & navigating the unknowns. I felt the weight of his loss too and the unbridgeable void that it brings. My mother. My brothers. And now my dad. Death, grief and living on the road are fundamentally hard but I’m continuing to live and take things one day at a time and one step at time. This is a mere shard of the beauty I was fortunate to experience on that journey and felt called to share a piece of it. by @spencahbryce
There’s not many people who stick around in your life for as long as we have been friends. I can’t even count on my fingers and toes how long I’ve know you. We have both grown in so many ways but we never grew apart and I think that is the most beautiful thing about our friendship. It’s not always been sunshine and rainbows but we have always been able to see past the bullshit to continue supporting each other. I don’t have many people in my life that I can truly call my friend but I’m glad to have you by my side when I need someone to talk to. Happy birthday my brother! #bestfriends #friendsforlife #brotherhood #happybirthday #onelove by @spencahbryce
I find myself at a loss for words coming up with things to say here because there is way too much to unpack for a social media post. I don’t like to share my life with the the world but I lost my brother, Caleb, early in the year, and today is his birthday. While I do have so many things to celebrate, I can’t help but feel this loss a little more today. He would have turned 27 and rather than celebrate another year passing, I am spending it in remembrance of all that my little bro brought into my life. I wish I could’ve been a better brother to you but I hope through it all, you know that I loved you. by @spencahbryce

This little guy came into my life after my mother passed away. Weighing a whopping 9 lbs, his larger than life attitude and spirit quickly grew on me. Always down to be by my side no matter the sitch. It will never cease to amaze me how this tiny creature came to hold so much real estate in my old heart. Michaela circa February '18. I owe you a huge thank you for getting me my first paid gig in the industry, as well as teaching me how to AC. Thankful to be introduced by a friend of a friend, you have helped me in more ways than you know. You've been a great teacher and mentor to me in the short time we spent together. I owe a lot of what I know to you, and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to make some dope stuff with you this past year. I wish you nothing but the best on your journey and I hope the west coast treats you proper. #untilnexttime #youlllearnbabyyoulllearn by @spencahbryce
