We want this year to be a real Youngstown family affair - we’re bringing along our friend Nick Adduci, playing some oldddd songs, Cyclebreakers will be slinging records, & some physical merch of the amazing Spirit of the Klondike Bear posters designed by @polka_boy himself Tickets are onsale now! Link in bio. Can’t wait to celebrate with the hometown crowd ♥️ by @spiritofthebear
@spiritofthebear ⭐️ Affected by Light Spirit of the Bear blends indie rock, pop, and electronic influences into a fresh, dynamic sound. Their unique two-keyboard lineup adds depth to their music, featuring James Harker, Danny Svenson, Ethan Schwendeman, and Jamie Vitullo. Affected By Light is Spirit of the Bear’s most personal album to date. Two years in the making, it captures the band’s highs and lows, including major career milestones, a label departure, and James Harker’s cancer diagnosis and treatment. It’s their most complex and exciting work yet. /125 5 Bundles will be available Drops tonight - Sept 11th, 7pm ET Waxmage.com #spiritifthebear #affectedbylight #waxmagerecords #waxmage #cleveland by @spiritofthebear

Thank you @spiritofthebear for letting me create a custom jean for the band and the show in Kansas City this past Saturday, October 24, 2026. It was such a great show with a wonderful crowd. I hope the jeans live on and continue their stage presence in future shows (whoever decides to wear them.) and just in everyday life. The jeans deserve their moment - in my biased opinion. A cold autumn day begins - you shut off the fourth instance of your snoozed alarm. “I need coffee”, you, an everyday coffee drinker say. Your cat, still freshly awake on your comforter, stretches as you painfully remove yourself from the sheets. As you open the bag, a wonderful aroma livens your olfactory senses. You receive a random $100 Venmo from a friend. It’s going to be a great day. Weeks earlier, and miles away, three lives have already converged to bring the wildly, wildly smooth cup that just filled your mug. The Digital Haircut blend was created by the wonderful team at @jenningsjava in Columbus, OH. A little fruity, but plenty good for all coffee drinkers. **You can purchase this coffee on tour for a reasonable price**. I’m really passionate about this coffee, and I’m not even in spirit of the bear but they let me type this post anyway - Joe by @spiritofthebear
🪞Spirit of the Bear and Basic Printer are going on tour TOMORROW and kicking off at @thehitonecafe in Memphis! We haven’t played most all of these spots and we’d love a warm welcome - thankfully tickets are moving pretty good so don’t be stuck without one! Can’t wait to have a nice proper autumn down in Texas - come get your hair cut digitally! P.S. we DID make a custom coffee blend for this tour and we’ll be selling it at the merch table. Announcing @spiritofthebear ⭐️ Affected by Light Spirit of the Bear quickly became one of the most fresh and exciting bands to emerge in the Ohio music scene with their unique blend of indie rock, pop, and electronic sensibilities coupled with their affinity for pop song writing. The band’s years of musical experience are accentuated by their use of two keyboard players, bringing a unique depth to their sound. Consisting of James Harker (lead vocals, guitar), Danny Svenson (keyboards), Ethan Schwendeman (keyboards), and Jamie Vitullo (Drums), the band has shared the stage with acts such as Crowded House, Our Lady Peace, Ra Ra Riot, and Robert DeLong, among others. The members of Spirit of the Bear have 3 dogs and 5 cats, collectively. Affected By Light is far and away the most personal album for Spirit of the Bear. Two years in the making, from doing our biggest shows to splitting from our label/management, to our singer James being diagnosed with and going through cancer treatment for the nearly the entirety of 2024/2025. This album dives into all of it unapologetically. It’s our most complex and exciting body of work to date, and has something for just about everyone. /25 Asterism Drops this Friday Sept 11th, 7pm. #spiritifthebear #affectedbylight #waxmagerecords #waxmage #cleveland by @spiritofthebear
WE’RE GONNA NEED A BIGGER STATE! 🤠
The first Digital Haircut tour blew our expectations out of the water - we sold out 8 of 11 shows! Obviously we realized we had something good here and wanted to do it again, but this time around we knew we had to take it to a state big enough to handle us.

Everything’s bigger in Texas, including pt. II of the Digital Haircut tour presented by Spirit of the Bear and Basic Printer!

Tickets are on sale now for all shows and you can find them in either of our bios. See you out there, partners! 🐎
