Back in 2020, during the lockdown, I was just at home in Bangalore doing what all of us were doing scrolling Instagram with no purpose. I randomly came across his profile and followed him. He accepted and followed me back. After two days, he sent a simple “hi.” That’s how it started. There was no big intention, no plan to make it serious. Just easy conversations that became a daily thing without us realizing it. He’s a Malayali brought up in Chennai, and I’m a Kannadiga from Bangalore totally different backgrounds, but somehow it just clicked. We spoke, laughed, argued, understood each other, and slowly became part of each other’s everyday life. We handled years of long distance. A lot of calls, a lot of patience, and a lot of trust. And then he moved cities for me. Now we’ve been married for a year and it still feels unreal that one random follow during lockdown turned into my forever.
