I’m officially a fiancé!!!!! 💍

Couldn’t wait for fancy engagement photos to hard launch this one — ahhhhhh!
He proposed on Saturday, which was also his birthday. Huge surprise for me who was extremely unsuspecting about it all. So this years happy birthday post looks a little different 🤪
We had plans all week to go on a hike and then out to a nice dinner. While we still followed our plan, it was even more special than I could’ve ever anticipated.
Had a perfect morning together, hiked up to the peak, clouds rolling over the mountains, 360 views, and just the two of us — bliss

Easiest yes of my life. And he told me I was the greatest birthday gift he could ever receive (😭😭😭)

Anyways.. many more photos to come. This will be my personality for the next bit and I’m not even a little bit sorry by @ssaragrecco

And then there were 3… Coming spring 2027 🍼🌿🌻 by @ssaragrecco

The mist from the waterfall was extremely rewarding after the hike down into here lol

360 views were purty

We ate a lil lunch on that rock before going down to the water

On the way to the falls you can see the river flowing

You start at devils postpile before you hike to the falls which is equally as cool

The rock formations here are insane

Giant roots and pinecones

Convict lake

It was really windy but that didn’t stop us

Skipping rocks on the water together

This lil guy harassed us at the falls but he was really cute so all is forgiven

A little camp cookout moment by @ssaragrecco

Last Tuesday Lana crossed over the rainbow bridge. I don’t know how else to make this post besides word vomit. I rescued her when I was 15 and it was one of those experiences where she chose me. She’s the best cat I’ve ever had and ever known. She’s loved every human and animal she’s ever met and always seemed grateful for everything she had. She was social, outgoing, loved to snuggle, and be involved in everything all the time. She raised Petey from the time he was 6 weeks old and taught him everything he knows about being a cat. You could always find her in Christian’s lap, especially while he played video games (I could make a whole series with the amount of photos I have, she loved him so much), in a sunny spot, snuggled up with her toys, watching the birds, getting into things, eagerly waiting by the front door for us as after work, or right next to me. She’s been with us for every single milestone or big/small moment of our lives for the last 11 years. She was my alarm clock and has woken me up every morning for every single one of those years and has slept with us every single night and life feels so incredibly different and lonely without her. I’m so grateful for the time we got together. Maybe you don’t understand how obsessed you can be with your animal unless you’ve had one. And you know they won’t always be here. But it doesn’t make it any easier when they’re gone. This sucks.

I have so many photos from over the years and picking 20 feels impossible. Tried to include every era but that’s also impossible. Getting to spend so much time with another being takes up so much of your heart and also your camera roll. Hard to believe even still that there isn’t more time. by @ssaragrecco
