Adventurers '49 - Frank's Bushplane

Of course, an Adventurers theme wouldn’t be complete without guns… and a plane.

For this build, I didn’t follow any specific aircraft from the original sets. Instead, I designed something that best fits Frank Jensen, one of the new characters.

The main inspiration comes from small utility planes of the era - the Piper PA-18 Super Cub (overall fuselage and proportions) and the Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver (front section and wings design).

The model fits two minifigures in a compact but still detailed interior, accessible via a detachable top section. All control surfaces are posable: flaperons, elevators, and rudder. And the plane is sturdy enough to confidently say: it’s very swooshable.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

An updated version of my BMW. The 1×1 round slopes looked great as side sills, but they sat a bit too high. This time, I used 2×2 curved slopes instead, which gave the car a better silhouette. I also added a roof rack – it suits the car surprisingly well.

While I started building stuff nearly 20 years ago, I got my first LEGO set only in 2012. So I experienced the classic 90s LEGO vibe, just not through official sets.

After watching countless reviews of classic Town sets the other day, I decided to recreate one using the parts I had on hand. I went with 6594, replaced some now-retired parts with more modern alternatives, and couldn't resist modding it a bit.

Honestly, this was one of the best building experiences I've had in a long time.

I'm sorry to be an old man yelling at clouds, but I wish we got more sets like these instead of display slop. But... at least a man can dream.

I didn't participate in the LEGO Ideas Paradisa contest, but as a fan of both the theme and Miami Vice, I couldn't resist building something in that style.

I built the Daytona Spyder a few years ago, but never showed it. Now, with newer pieces available, I was able to finish it to my liking.

Since all my models share the same scale, the Daytona got a shorter 9-stud wheelbase. The main idea was, and still is, to create a seamless transition between the front cheese slopes and curved slopes. This results in a half-plate offset on the sides, which is covered with neck brackets.
Additionally, the windscreen and seat are shifted one plate backwards, using a solution similar to the one I applied to my Mustang. This helps maintain the correct proportions within the fixed vehicle length, which is half a plate shorter than my C3 Corvette.

After many larger builds, it feels good to go back to 6-wide cars.

I've wanted to build another station wagon for a long time. The only one I've made before was the Ghostbusters Volvo 240, so this time I decided to go with a '75 Dodge Coronet.

Just like the real car, the model shares its chassis with my Plymouth Fury. This made it possible to fit two minifigures inside, plus some extra space in the back - for luggage, or maybe a pet. I wasn't sure about the color at first, but I ended up really liking the dark blue and dark grey combination.

And I also made a lonely classic gas pump to complete the scene.

It all started with a question: "What else can I turn my F-250 platform into?"

After a dozen variations that didn't make the cut - including a two-tone SuperCab, Crew Cab, and service box configuration - I came up with this simple flatbed variant.

I wanted to keep the same front cab connections, making the front and rear parts interchangeable between all my F-250s. Unfortunately, keeping the bed at the same level as the shoulder line meant that I had to lower the bracket connections by one plate.
Even though I used all the turquoise parts from my collection here, I still managed to try out some new design details, playing around with the side mirror design, sidesteps, and grille color.

No promises that this will be the last F-250, though.

Wheel design is one of the most important aspects of a car's overall look. Recently, I decided to create more custom wheel variations to update the vehicles in my collection. For my European cars, I chose the combination of 92409 and 50945 tires. What can I say – the look of thin wheels on 6-wide cars is slowly growing on me.

$Sometimes you get inspiration for a build from... your PhD thesis. This is the biggest land vehicle I've ever built. It's a Kenworth C500K - factory-built C500 chassis with a K100 COE cab, making the most of the available space for heavy equipment. These 40-ton AWD trucks are used in natural gas extraction, pumping huge amounts of water and proppant to fracture rock deep underground. It took a long time to design and build this truck. Not because there are many technical solutions, no. I just wanted to make the operational equipment as realistic as possible without falling into a rabbit hole of overcomplicating everything. Fake it till you make it, if you will. The model includes front-wheel steering, an interior for two minifigures, and functional equipment such as an openable control box, valves etc. Hope you like the build. And this is not the last time you'll see it in action😉 #lego #legokenworth #legotruck #truckmoc #kenworth #kenworthtruck #kenworthc500 #oilfield #oilfieldtruck #heavyequipment #industrialvehicles #hydraulicfracturing #legobuild #afol #legophotography by @sseven_bricks$

Good luck, 47

HITMAN™-inspired figbarf featuring Tobias Rieper – aka Agent 47, and his disguises.

This is just a small side project that I decided to take on as a little break from my main build. I had a ton of fun working on it, trying to pack as many references into the minifigs as possible – how many can you spot?

P.S. The truck model is 90% complete. I hope to post it soon. Stay tuned.

As always, some of my models start to look wrong after sitting on the shelf for too long. Once I finally got the parts I needed, especially the 1x2x1 curved brick in BLB, I decided it was time to redesign the front of my Kenworth.

To me, the old grille looked a bit too cartoonish, so I came up with something that fits the truck much better. The cheese slopes aren't actually connected now, but they're sandwiched between the sub-builds and hold surprisingly well. I also changed the rear wheels to the same design I used on my Black Cat and reworked the front bumper attachment. It's now attached to the frame instead of the cab - a small change, but one that was necessary for me.

I was so happy with the update that I almost started building another K100. Instead, it sparked an idea for something much bigger. It will be the biggest truck I've ever built, and the wheels you see here are for that project.

Any guesses what it could be?

This 'Vette is the next car to get my 1x3x2/3 slope treatment. I've been wanting to update it for so long. It was great, but just not good enough.

First, I changed the wheels. These new mini F1-style ones look great here, don't they? Then I finally managed to get rid of that 1/4 plate gap on the hood that had been bugging me for so long. And finally, with the new slope, the hood is now built using angled tiles instead of half-stud offsets, which looks much better than the ugly step it had before.

Oh, and a red interior.

Now I can finally call it good enough.
