In a new interview with harpers bazaar, charli xcx said that since brat, she’s done reinventing her style with every era. so we thought it would be a good time to revisit her past eras and see where her style has landed in the releases she’s had since. by @stadia.fyi
If you love @zaralarsson and her dolphin meme mermaid aesthetic, I really want you to get to know @sophiasinot , who is the makeup artist behind the Midnight Sun era. Sophia’s Dutch, grew up in a small town called Huizen, and before she was doing art on people’s faces, she was drawing and painting from a young age. She went on to study makeup in Amsterdam and has been working with Zara Larsson since 2020. They met through a photographer, Paul Edwards, who brought her in for a last-minute shoot in Stockholm with Zara. Sophia did Zara’s hair and makeup that day, and it went so well that Zara booked her out for the rest of the week. But before Zara, Sophia was no stranger to doing superstars’ makeup. She did this iconic two-toned lip combo on JT for the Mugler show in 2023. She also did the cuts and bruises on Doja Cat for this Balenciaga show, and turned Troye Sivan into the sunburned and scratched-up castaway that he portrayed in CR Fashion Book. With Zara, since the dolphin meme took off, Sophia has been doing her makeup. And you’ll notice across her work, the tour looks never repeat. Sophia has said about 75% of the time when she sits down to do Zara’s makeup, she does that with no plan in mind and comes out with a face full of magic. She clearly finds inspiration everywhere. The Malmö look, which is the one with the pink shadow and the star decals and the body glitter everywhere that went really viral, was a reference to Beyoncé’s outfit at the 2006 BET Awards. There are references to sunsets, to Hello Kitty, to parrots, to crab and to fish, all of which you can see at her Instagram account, Cino Archive. Even though we know a lot of the routine changes every time she does Zara’s makeup, we do know a couple of the actual items that she uses. Some of the things that stay consistent are Haus Labs foundation, Huda Beauty loose powder, Dior Overvolume mascara, and blush from Glam by Majha. Sophia stays creating iconic looks for artists, not just Zara, and she’s recently done some really great makeup for SZA, for the Raj sisters, and even the rest of KATSEYE. Mommy’s Home. Before we had the chance to come down from our excitement about Tate’s (@tatemcrae) new single ‘Housewife’, she showed up as an Angel during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She was wearing a fully custom Victoria’s Secret outfit for her set and strut down the runway. But even though it was custom, that doesn’t mean you can’t recreate the look in time for Halloween. Keep an eye on Stadia - we’ve got tons of last minute Halloween costumes coming so you can dress like your favorite artists. by @stadia.fyi
Audrey Hobert dresses like someone who would rather pick her own clothes than be styled and did exactly that for her album cover on Who’s the Clown. That coat is Dries Van Noten, but no longer available to the general public (don’t worry we found alternatives). Her style is thrift-store finds next to real designer pieces, comfortable shoes, and always more about personality than polish. Shop the era on Stadia. Dressing like herself, or not, we have to still give a lot of credit to @karolynpho for being a master at her craft when styling a lot of Audrey’s looks. by @stadia.fyi
Before Role Model was Role Model, Tucker almost went by Chuck Timely. Tucker said Chuck had “been around through all the eras” and grabs a little piece from each one and we get that on his wardrobe. Footloose and Punch-Drunk Love “with some grease on it.” @karolynpho styled it as Celine and Dior next to archive finds with a necklace from Maine and a ‘47 cap along with a lot of Tucker’s personal caps and brand. by @stadia.fyi
