Ah, football season. Just grown-ass men dressing up in their favorite team's colors to watch other grown-ass men make millions playing a kid's game.

But Sundays like this past one when the Lions embarrassed the Cardinals in their own barn was more than a good reason for four friends to fly out to the desert and watch a football game, it was also a chance to drink a few beers, win a few parlays, and take a few awkward photos.

We smartly decided not to jump over the railing after the first quarter (-9 total yards), because MC/DC and the boys put boots to asses: 45-21. Now it's time for the NFC North revenge tour. LFG Lions 🤘 by @stallion_rides

Flashback to when Acura brought me to Cali earlier this year for the Long Beach Grand Prix. I love racing, but I don't really follow it because I struggle to find a rooting interest like I do with other sports.

However, nothing beats being at an actual race, and getting to drive on the track in a rare 2001 Acura Integra Type S like I did was surreal. (Driving Honda's sweet Motocompacto electric-powered suitcase was another unexpected treat.)

For its 40th birthday, Acura also recreated a dealer showroom from 1986. The retro-themed space was set up in the atrium during race weekend, and as an RDX owner, let me just say the dealership experience has changed for the worse. Maybe playing more of the Eurythmics would help? by @stallion_rides

Another year, another St. Ignace car show has come and gone. For the past five decades, the annual automotive pilgrimage has coalesced at the intersection of Michigan's two peninsulas, with the Mighty Mac linking the upper half where I grew up and the lower half where I've settled down. My dad, one of my best and oldest friends, and me have been meeting up at this show for at least 15 years, usually driving our own beloved junk and blending in with the thousands of gearheads like us. Whether it's admiring every one of the countless cars that line both sides of the mile-long stretch through downtown St. Ignace, sharing stories with total strangers because we own or owned the same car, or watching clapped-out jalopies do illegal burnouts in the street, it's my yearly reminder that car culture has an uncanny ability to unify people despite the deep rifts that may divide us. It's a genuinely freeing feeling, even if it's only fleeting. As for the boys? We'll be back in town again next year. by @stallion_rides

My parents didn't have a camera on them at all times like I do with my phone, yet they still managed to take a ton of photos throughout their life, capturing moments and memories that act like a visual time machine years later.

I'm jealous of that, because I've done a poor job of doing the same, but I want to do better going forward. So here is my latest attempt at documenting my life for myself, my friends, and my family (and anyone who else who cares).

For context: The first few pics are from a recent trip to Granite Peak ski resort in northern Wisconsin with Your New Stepdads (ft. Revengamin Button, Dumptruck, StirCrazy, tmoneyshot, and Flow *not pictured*) The rest are from a night in Detroit where we watched the Pistons lose but made the best of it (ft. John Eddie Jasker, Speedykid08, and my best friend Barry). by @stallion_rides

Here's an example of why I fail at social media: I was incredibly lucky to take a work trip to South Africa.. last January ha. With Toto providing the soundtrack, I drove a 626-hp Land Rover from Cape Town to various locations, from a safari-style nature preserve to a plantation-turned-resort to mountainous sand dunes. It was an awesome experience highlighted by some baboon sightings. by @stallion_rides

Christmas Time 2025 🎄🎁❄️ by @stallion_rides

Sadly, I didn't do any drifting during my week in Tokyo, but I did a lot of other sweet stuff. I learned about samurais and ninjas and won a throwing-star contest (the stars were plastic for obvious legal reasons). I drank the Budweiser of Japanese beers (only it's much better than Budweiser). I scaled a five-story tourist trap called Don Quijote (correct spelling), where I spent under 5000 yen on a legit Honda Civic T-shirt, Matcha KitKats, and other knicknacks. I drooled over all the sick JDM vans that deserve to be imported to my driveway (and randomly wandered upon a PT Cruiser a la Dub City). But the most interesting thing that happened was when I unknowingly ate raw chicken (I thought it tasted like ham). Luckily, your boy stayed salmonella free. PS. If you've never experienced one of Japan's first-rate bidets, you haven't lived (the accuracy=unbelievable). by @stallion_rides

You may have heard of Cars & Coffee, but Pebble Beach is more like My Hometown's Net Worth on Wheels & Caviar. @emilyrosestafford had a grand ol' time tho. by @stallion_rides

🚨PSA🚨 Meet your heroes. by @stallion_rides

Nothing helps cure the melancholy of a Midwest spring than spending a few days on and around the beautiful beaches of Puerto Rico (humidity be damned). Bonus points: The St. Regis resort I had the privilege of staying at felt like the next season of White Lotus. by @stallion_rides

Canada's Bruce Peninsula is an incredible place that's only about five hours from our house in Ypsilanti. Emily and I embarked on a winter getaway there to enjoy a cozy Airbnb, see the area's stunning frozen shoreline, and spend an evening at a Scandinavian-style spa. Surprisingly, not one Canadian treated us like trash for being Americans (although we wouldn't have blamed them). The worst part of the weekend was having to return home, but Kimby was happy we did.
