Dig out my old Simple Minds vinyl from back in the day . Still my favourite band growing up and I’ve been lucky enough to see them a few times including a bus trip from Elgin to Paris . 😀 The internet purists will moan that Jim and Charlie are no longer Simple Minds but they looked better than ever last Sunday night . What’s your favourite early simple Minds song . The golden era was up to and including Sparkle in the Rain ☔️. But all good really .♥️ by @stanfree71

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone . Nightshift for the next two nights but will manage a wee game of golf and some wine on Wednesday when I’m off. Yer all to kind . 🐕🐶⛳️🏌️ by @stanfree71

#djpierre on a dreich Sunday in Scotland 🕺💃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 by @stanfree71

Life affirming stuff , 2 hours of pure joy seeing a bucket list @davidbyrneofficial in his homeland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿if your ever thinking I’ll see my favourite artist next time , don’t !!. I missed out on many heroes this way Bowie , Prince , Beasties and Joe Strummer to name a few. This was pretty spiritual at times despite only 4 pints of lager . A solid top 3 ♥️ by @stanfree71

What can I say , there’s artists you shouldn’t put off going to see . Joe strummer , beastie boys , Bowie etc . ♥️I’m sure David Byrne has along time left , but if you can go and see him. Just 2 hrs off happiness . #davidbyrneofficial by @stanfree71

I’ve hardly turned on the turntables with all the great weather but did manage to get a triple new order remix release . Worth the £55 quid but why the put two kind of Balearic remixes on the same disc and a check bolland and Dave Clark on another . Still all hail @neworderofficial still one of the greatest 80s bands out there . Apologies for the shonky mixing . by @stanfree71

A nice evening catching up with pals we’ve not seen In while before they head to Luvin'Leith Events or The Wash Bar. Home in time to avoid the pointless World Cup equivalent on winning the egg and spoon race for 3rd . A couple of wines watching ‘ Stop making sense’ before I see him on Wednesday at the playhouse. Anyone fancy a beer on Wednesday in embra give us a shout . by @stanfree71

A wee venture into @beat.generation.records on the way home for some oldies . The second clip has a massive sample from one of my favourite bands in it but it’s not too obvious . Great service and a good selection as usual . by @stanfree71

Trying to buy quality over quantity as a couple of hundred that I love is way more important than 1000’s I’ll never play. Anyhoo the best remix of @ebtgofficial classic . Followed by @masters_at_work_official classic compilation featuring @saintetienneofficial only love can break your heart . ❤️🕺💃🔈🔊 by @stanfree71

Not been on my turntables for a while , seeing as it’s a lazy day after being out last night . Here’s 3 beauties . The first is for @classics_on_wax my favourite Sasha remix ever . The seconds is the classic let no put asunder and finally both bought from @beat.generation.records jungle brothers and royal house . Have a good Saturday folks 🕺💃🎶🔈 by @stanfree71

A few recent purchases . The union city recordings compilation is one of the best I’ve bought . Just a shame most of the good tracks are on the same side . The Clash are one of my favourite bands ever and Gwen Guthrie is never tiring to listen to. 🕺💃🔈🔊 by @stanfree71
