As you may have noticed, I’m a huge fan of the Group C era, and I try to post only the rarest cars I come across. I hope next time Zak will allow me to come check the car closer:)

Meet the ’88 Jaguar XJR-9 LM, chassis TWR-J12C-287, from the collection of McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown.

This particular chassis, originally raced as an XJR-8, won the 1000 km of Jerez, 1000 km of Silverstone, 1000 km of Brands Hatch and 1000 km of Nürburgring in 1987 before being converted to XJR-9 LM specification.

7.0L naturally aspirated Jaguar V12. Carbon/Kevlar monocoque. Around 880 kg. One of the great machines of the Group C era.

Genuine XJR-9s are roughly $2M+ pieces of motorsport history today — and seeing one actually being raced instead of sitting in a museum is something else. #xjr9 #unitedmotorsports #zackbrown #jaguarracing #rolexmontereymotorsportsreunion by @stantheman956

That made my day. 1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR
An absolutely incredible opportunity to get up close with racing history. This is one of my all-time favorite Mercedes-Benz AMG cars.

The car requires about three hours of preparation before a run—programming systems and warming up fluids are key parts of the process. Here’s a super interesting fact: the hood ornament (the “sight”) has absolutely no impact on aerodynamics. Mercedes got the calculations spot-on!
It was such a thrill to sit in the cockpit and imagine myself behind the wheel on the racetrack. Thank you Jeff!

This is the Team Persson Motorsport Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR that competed in the FIA GT Championship sporting the famous blue “Original-Teile” (Original Parts) livery.
Specifically, car No. 11 was chassis WDB 297 397 WA 000 005, driven primarily by Christophe Bouchut and Bernd Mayländer.
Incidentally, Mayländer is still the official Formula 1 Safety Car driver today.

I’m just leave it here.
Finally the t-shirt fits!
Porsche 962C number 1 in Rothmans factory livery. Absolute legendary.
Winner of 24 race Le Mans in 1986.
My favorite racecar of all time. by @stantheman956

Koenig.

So here are my favorite cars of all time. The greatest Porsche 956 and 962 Group C sports prototypes. Many people consider this cars are the most successful racing cars in history. This masterpiece was created by the magnificent Porsche engineer Norbert Singer.
For example in 24 Le Mans race 1983 9 out of 10 first places were taken for 956.
The Nordschleife record of 6.11.13 set by Stefan Bellof in 1983 on a Porsche 956 could not be beaten for 34 years.
This particular orange 962 Jäegermeister won the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium in 1986. By the way there were road versions under the brands Dauer Chuppan and Koenig.
Absolute number 1 on my list.
By the way, you can see these masterpieces in the Porsche Santa Clarita Salon Museum.
I highly recommend visiting @porschesantaclarita

What a fantastic day!
Just to see the incredible sensations of 3 McLaren F1 in one place!
This car was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest production car in the world at the time of its production.
An engineering masterpiece by designer Gordon Murray, the creator of Formula 1 championship cars.
Number 2 on my list of my favorite cars.
Thank you Velocity Invitational 2022 @velocityinvitational for incredible emotions!

Porsche 991 GT3 RS 992. The storm of the racetracks and the main sports car for the next few years. Lap times have been improved by 10 seconds over the previous generation and this is a major achievement. The second photo shows a Porsche 963. The hypercar class LMDh racing prototype that will compete for the victory at Le Mans this year. It will be interesting! #porsche #lemans #porschegt3rs #laautoshow #racingcars #hypercars by @stantheman956

If I’m going to sit in a highway trooper cruiser, it’s definitely going to be in the driver’s seat, not in the back for sure!
It’s not exactly comfortable having one of those Tahoe’s driving right behind you.
I asked the officers a few questions about how to handle various situations; thanks to the San Luis Obispo Highway Patrol for their friendliness and for ensuring the event was safe.
I hope that if we cross paths again, it’s only under positive circumstances!

#w108mercedes #mercedesbenz #w109 #w108 #mercedesbenzclassic I found a time machine. It exists! And it’s a real car. Mechanism. I literally traveled back 50 years. Driving through LA at night in this classic 1972 W108 4.5 V8 S-Class by famed Paul Braque, you literally travel back in time.
Thank you @mrkingcars for this opportunity! Let your collection of wonderful cars only increase. by @stantheman956
