Ari Vadas put on a scoring clinic this week, leading the way with a 30-point performance, while adding 4 rebounds and knocking down 5 three-pointers from deep.

A big-time performance from a big-time player. Ari showed confidence, shot-making, and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways.

BALL WRITE IT UP Q |
12u division

NEW HEIGHTS (YELLOW) VS. STARS ACADEMY (BLACK)

This was an interesting matchup to review because both programs showed different elements of their game, from individual skill development to team execution.

Q’S FILM BREAKDOWN

New Heights, wearing yellow, showed some good guard movement, especially when attacking from the perimeter. One possession that caught my attention was the yellow-jersey guard creating space off the dribble and looking to attack. New Heights also looked to get the ball up the floor and create opportunities before the defense could settle.

Stars Academy, rocking the black jerseys, showed physicality around the basket. Their interior presence, willingness to challenge shots, and ability to make New Heights work for position were important parts of the matchup.

Another interesting moment was watching Stars Academy #31 battle inside while New Heights worked to establish position defensively.

THE CHESS MATCH

What I enjoyed about this film was seeing how both teams approached their possessions. New Heights looked to use movement and guard play, while Stars Academy showed moments of defensive pressure and physical competition.

These are the games where development matters. Understanding spacing, making the extra pass, boxing out, and knowing when to attack are just as important as putting points on the board.

Q’S FINAL TAKE:

There is talent on both sides, but what I continue to look for is basketball IQ and how these young athletes adjust throughout a game.

Special respect to both coaching staffs for continuing to develop the next generation.# by @stars_academy12

12u Divison was a great to see. As new faces has entered the platform giving chances and see in development. As the mix shows more than just high-schools but great ball movement in games and IQ development. Showing defense strategies that was used. As we learning and trying help meet the standards for our athletes not worry about rankings, where you placed or being judge because you not in right “places” at the moment. The spotlight will come regularly with work you shown. The goal develop to be ready for Highschool. by @stars_academy12
