Who is Star Wars Card Crazy?

I am David Dickson, also known as @starwarscardcrazy

In this short reel, I aim to provide a brief background about my personal journey with Star Wars Cards while also validating my Star Wars Card background and experience.

In reading through this, my goal for you is to know I want to help you. I am always providing new content targeted at helping newer collectors on their personal journey with card collecting.

In full confession, I do not always know the answers, but I’m humbled to have a great group of trusted advisors, equally passionate about Star Wars cards, whom I know I can go to at any time.

If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask. I respond to all my messages and usually fairly quickly.

As I wrap up this written message, whether you follow me or not, I encourage you to do your own research. Use some of the tools I provide in my intro carousel to help you on your journey so you can be sure you are making more informed decisions with Star Wars Card collecting.

Good luck and … Stay Crazy!

New To Star Wars Cards?

No problem! We all were once! 😃

Good news. There were enough of us that have gone through the “newness” and came out the other side “still ok”. Lol!

There are as many opinions on how to get started as there are grains of sand on your local beach (if you have a local beach.. 🤣).

What I will do is teach you how to fish. Then you can decide if that helped you catch fish or if you need to find a diff teacher.

Give these ideas a shot. Let me know if they were helpful. Don’t forget to click “like” and “save” so you can get back to this post whenever you need to.

Why is card grading so scary?

I think for a number of reasons.

- How do I know if I’m sending good cards to grade?
- Should I clean them?
- How the heck do I sleeve them?
- What does packing look like?

These are some of the questions I had for sure (and then some!). The truth is,
It doesn’t have to be scary. Or maybe it can be a little less scary!

In this short carousel, I’ll give you instructions on how to get through this often ominous process. You’ll be grading without fear in no time! 😀

Happy to answer any questions at all!

Ahsoka Tano 1/1 Artist Proof sketch by the legendary @andrew.fry.art from the Battle Plans Star Wars set! This is available! Please let me know if you’re interested! It’s an amazing piece but I’m not a huge sketch collector or Ahsoka collector. May the Force be with you!

Sketch Card Sunday!

Here is my second of two amazing Ahsoka’s by Topps sketch artist @redderz.art

One of my most prized Ahsoka sketches, but I admit, I have many favs!

Hope you enjoy!

Regrets!

I have multiples of this card in both an SGC 10 and PSA 10. This is a PSA of course and looks especially amazing behind a 100% UV protected @phantomdisplay

This is their largest product and is an absolute beast! Highly recommend checking out these displays for your best cards.

Enjoy!

With the recent Battlefront 3 news, I figured I should share this Pop - 1 beast again. Super excited about the news and hope the game turns out amazing. by @starwarscardcrazy

Sketch Card Sunday!

“Padme”

By legend and Jedi Master Artist @andrew.fry.art

Do you have any of Andrew’s work?

Vader!

I haven’t shared this one since January 2025 so I thought it made sense to kick the dust off of it and post. Hahah!

This is the famous “Vader portrait” card from G2021. It was slower to find favor with higher price valuation but finally did, and now there’s no lookin back.

Where does this Vader sit in your ranking of top 2021 Vader cards?

Stardust!

This is card 99 from Galaxy 2021. I failed to grade my extra raw copy as a PSA 10 so I cheated and bought one. Hahahah!

Many thanks to my good friend Jeff for coughing one up out of his PC to share with me.

I have 60 of the 100 unique cards in this set as a PSA 10. Only 40 more!

Let’s GO!

Sketch Card Sunday!

Ahsoka! By @roberthendrickson

Robert nailed this one, giving us Ahsoka in one of her iconic action shots.

Let Robert know what cha think about this beautiful 1/1 sketch. 🤜🤛

Empire and Rebellion!

If you know Galaxy 2021, and if you are a fan, then there is a great chance this card is somewhere near or in your top 10 for the set. The number of visuals packed into this card is stunning.

This is the Atomic format, but this card looks amazing in any parallel.

Where does this card sit in your list of fav G2021 cards?

Hope you enjoy!
