And now for something completely different! Over the past year and a half, I’ve been working with a great team to renovate part of my building so I could provide a space for like-minded folks looking for a short-term stay in Woodbrook. If you know me, you’d know this couldn’t be just any ol’ space! It prioritises design, highlights Caribbean books and art, obsesses over plants, and celebrates local. Welcome to Corner House — a modern urban oasis in the heart of Woodbrook, Trinidad ✨🍃. Can’t wait to share more about the evolution of this space, and to introduce you to some of the people and things that make it special! Follow along at @stayatcornerhouse or head on over to Airbnb where rates are currently discounted to entice you, heh heh. Corner House is the result of many months of dreaming, followed by meticulous planning and design with a couple of very talented and extremely detail-oriented architects who made so much space and beauty where there was none.✨ We were also fortunate to work with outstanding construction and landscaping teams, who brought our visions to life. 🍃 These are just a few of the BTS shots of the renovation and transformation, which started with a complete interior demo. Much love 🧡 to everyone who worked on Corner House, with very special thanks to: Architects: smith+wilson (Jenifer Smith and Dion Wilson) @jenifersmitharchitects Contractor: MACAM Construction @macam_construction Landscaping: Peter Milne Landscaping @petermilnelandscaping Joinery/Cabinetry: Cabinet Solutions Metalwork: CASFAB Ltd #CornerHouse #CornerHouseWoodbrook #Architecture #Design #AirbnbTrinidad #Woodbrook #BTS #Reno Reel edit vibes 🙏🏾 @patrick.rasoanaivo by @stayatcornerhouse

🎉 We’re thrilled to announce our Airbnb Superhost status! 🎉 Corner House was conceived as much more than just a place to stay. We’ve wanted our guests to feel looked after, cared for, and to give everyone an outstanding experience that’s rooted in comfort and good design, as well as local products, books, and art. So many of you who’ve stayed at Corner House have connected with this ongoing mission, and that means the world to us. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has given us feedback… and those 5-star ratings and kind reviews, of course! 📍Location, location, location! Our guests love how convenient Corner House is for their Port of Spain stay, particularly if they don’t have a car. We’re in the middle of Woodbrook, with great shops, dining, and nightlife nearby. Here are a few of our favourite places that are just a short walk away! ☕1. District Lounge and Bistro (4-minute walk) Open from 7am; perfect for coffee, breakfast, or lunch, or to hang with the local cool crowd. Enjoy boozy Sunday brunches too. @districtccb 👗2. Meiling (4-minute walk) Meiling is considered the grand dame of Caribbean fashion, with her timeless, easy, yet sophisticated clothing. You’ll find other local designers in her shop too. @meilinginc 🇹🇹3. Cocobel Chocolate (5-minute walk) A treat to visit for its amazing local Trinitario chocolates that are made on site and beautifully packaged. Stock up on bon-bons, barks, cocoa tea, and more! @cocobelchocolate We’ll share another three faves this week, or just head to the link in bio to book your stay soon! #AirbnbsInTrinidad #WhereToStayInTrinidad #Urban #Staycation #Woodbrook by @stayatcornerhouse
