why do people use the term “work like a dog” to describe hard work because my dog is clearly living the best life and doesn’t work 🤨 by @steaks.andbones

honestly damn nice because they use milk tea instead of milk // plus points for little experience because they pour the matcha and draw the sheep in front of you // even more points because it’s only $7.90 which is really decent for a cup of matcha 🤭

Hawker Street just opened its 9th outlet at Chinatown Point!! Hawker Street is a food court with famous hawker dishes under one roof, so you can be sure that you’ll have really good food no matter which stall you order from. Honestly such a brilliant concept cause I’m sure ykwim that some food court stalls are questionable.

In this visit, we had food from Hwa Heng Beef Noodles, Tien Lai Roast Delights and Top 1 Home Made Noodles. Every single dish was delishhhhhh and the best part is that they are priced no differently from other shopping mall food court. I’m convinced to eat at Hawker Street instead of a restaurant if I’m in a shopping mall with this food court 😛🤑

Brought my fam for @hzf.seafood collab and I think it’s safe to say that we really enjoyed the food because the plates were wiped clean. Here’s what we got:

🍲Seafood Treasure White Bee Hoon🍜
This was soooo good because the soup/broth was milky and flavourful and there was an abundance of ingredients

🥘Golden Pumpkin Broth Platter🥘
Expected the soup to be of a thicker consistency since it was pumpkin, but it wasn’t! You could make out the taste of pumpkin without it being too overpowering. The soup was on the lighter side and felt healthy. Ingredients wise, it was loaded with fried fish, clams, oysters and prawns.

🦑Baby Squid Rojak🦑
Have never tried something like that before and it was honestly quite an innovative idea. The squid was really fried and crispy… to the point that you can’t quite make out that it’s seasoned in rojak sauce. But the rest of the side dishes were well soaked.

⚪️Bacon Wrapped Sotong Ball⚪️
This dish was the most mid out of everything imo, but it was still good! The “meat” of the sotong ball was fresh and “springy” which made me feel that they really blended it with fresh sotong meat.

🦈Red Braised Shark Fin Soup🦈
The highlight of this dish is really the shark fin because it disappeared before I got to even try it… so I guess to show that it’s tasty. The gravy felt pretty normal.

🍖Iberico Pork Ribs with Home Made Sauce🍖
I thought pork ribs don’t have much meat on them, but I was wrong because wdym each chunk of pork ribs had so much meat on them. The skin (and meat) soaked up the sauce well and the meat was tender too.

What made the meal so satisfying was due to the freshness of the seafood… and the size of the crabs, prawns and oysters. Like imagine having decently sized seafood that is fresh! If you can’t imagine, then head down to Hai Zhen Fang to try for yourself. And if you can imagine, then you definitely need to fill your stomach with their food hehe.
