easy hojicha jelly recipe 🍨🤎

꒰ ingredients for jelly ꒱
⊹ 4g kanten powder (I got mine from @matcharl_pantry)
⊹ 2 1/2 c water
⊹ 1/4 c sugar
⊹ 1 tbsp hojicha powder

꒰ instructions ꒱
⊹ in a pot, add 2 1/2 c water and 4g kanten powder.
⊹ stir well and bring it to a boil. turn heat off after 1 minute, while still stirring occasionally.
⊹ add 1/4 c sugar and 1 tbsp hojicha powder. stir until dissolved and make sure there are no lumps!
⊹ pour the mixture into a rectangular mold. remove bubbles from surface by gently scooping them off with a spoon.
⊹ let the mixture cool and solidify on the counter (about 45 mins). after that, chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

once the jelly is cooled and settled, you can serve it with toppings of your choice! lots of people use a sweetened condensed milk mixture, but I did milk and ice cream. enjoy! 🤍

finally trying tarou from @matcha__rl ^.^

it’s a matcha that is well suited for beginner drinkers. tarou carries earthy, umami, & nutty notes. there is a bit of astringency, but it’s not really noticeable in a latte. the color leans a bit more yellow, but don’t let it fool you !! i can’t recommend tarou enough… especially at the price point of ~$22 usd/40g ♡⸜(˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝ i will def be repurchasing hehe 🤍✨

*gifted but all thoughts are my own !*
