The Beginning of the End of the World, 2026 by @stephanie__hamer

Stephanie Hamer is a British artist based in Berlin. Her painting practice moves through intimate scenes, fragmented narratives and emotionally charged moments. Her works often suggest that something has just happened, or is about to happen, leaving space for the viewer to enter the image and construct their own reading.

Developed through years of studio practice, international residencies and her ongoing series Father Knows Best, Stephanie’s work explores the tensions held within relationships, family structures and personal memory. Familiar figures and situations become layered with uncertainty, vulnerability and quiet unease. Her work is held in private collections across Europe. by @stephanie__hamer

Stephanie Hamer is a British contemporary painter based in Berlin whose practice draws from personal narratives to explore memory, oppression, the passage of time, and the complexities of human relationships. Through distorted figures set within familiar yet subtly disquieting environments, she constructs psychologically charged compositions derived from collaged imagery, creating evocative scenes that blur the boundaries between recollection, unease, and the macabre.
