Hi, I’m Stephanie.

When my youngest daughter started kindergarten it was my turn to go back to school, and I needed something that wouldn’t involve me staring at a computer all day (ask me about my journalism days 😅)

I was influenced by my therapist mom and my own passion for mental health.

As a single mom I’ve seen a lot of ups and downs in my life.

I experienced postpartum depression and felt such shame and isolation. Because of my familiarity with struggle, I developed a passion for helping others feel less alone.

You can be helped and you can feel better.

Follow along for mental health education and community 🧡

Now tell me something about YOU 👇🏼

Meet Stephanie, an EMDR-certified therapist who works with women navigating trauma, domestic violence, and self-worth.

Stephanie’s approach is beautifully simple: she doesn't expect you to have everything figured out. She believes that all the answers you need are already inside you—you just need a safe, compassionate guide to help you find them. No judgment, no lecturing. Just real support right where you are.

This past week our fearless leader, Co-Founder and CEO of @nexttherapist was recognized as one of @utahbusiness’s Women to Watch for 2026. We couldn’t agree more!

This year, Utah Business received over 400 unique nominations, and they noted, “you represented some of the best Utah has to offer. You have had an astronomical impact on those you work with and serve. We’re thrilled to celebrate your accomplishments with you!”

She embodies everything good about entrepreneurialism today. She found a cause that will improve the lives of millions as we solve the issues surrounding access, awareness, and stigma of mental health.

Alison said this about our mission, “It’s about shifting how we think about mental health altogether. The goal is pretty simple: We want to make therapy feel normal. Less waiting until things hit a breaking point, and more just having a therapist as part of your life, like you would a dentist.” by @stephaniesonntagtherapy

What is @nexttherapist? How does it work?
