After 4 long months, we are finally home with our boy!

Not quite the summer getaway we were planning for, but we are so thankful for the teams at University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado.

After being admitted to the hospital May 28th for Absent-End Diastolic Flow of the umbilical artery at 28 weeks, bringing this little man into the world on my/our birthday at 34 weeks, and embracing a 10-week NICU stay to ensure he was as strong as possible before going home, Warren has really made us earn this whole parenting thing.

We’re engaged!!

June, Friday the 13th, 2025. A very lucky day.

Out in the front yard with our goats and pups romping about, Stephen got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
The next day we went to the Renaissance Festival and picked out a ring 💍

I can’t think of a more “us” way of doing things. I love our life together and can’t wait for many more years (and goats!) to come 🖤 by @emmajanelbates

Next decade up.

This July, after 10 years leading Brooklyn Track Club, I’m stepping into a supporting role to make space for the next leader of our community.

The growth of Brooklyn Track Club Association—especially these last 5 years as a 501(c)(3)—wouldn’t have happened without the belief and dedication of 2,500+ members and 15+ coaches and staff who’ve given their all to support each other and the NYC running community.

Huge thanks to our incredible Board of Directors, Cheryl, Rose, Michael. Your guidance helped build a thriving non-profit.

And to the athletes: thank you. I’ll still be at track and supporting our coaching team, but as I step back officially—just know how much it’s meant to be part of this with you. You believed. You showed up. You helped carve this thing out of NYC. You know who you are.

USA Outdoors Track & Field Championships with @banditrunning

Never a dull moment at Hayward Field or on the road with @timrossi & @mr.johnseph. Grateful to be back in Eugene for a few days to see friends and help support some amazing athletes chasing life changing performances. Congrats to all the Team USA qualifiers heading to Budapest 🇭🇺 for the World Championships later this summer.

Kenya 🖤

A few days at @lewaconservancy for the @lewasafarimarathon

Grateful to support my man @joeholder on his first marathon on the African continent, with a country & people who have so much culture & history in distance running.

If you’re ever in search of a marathon in Africa, at 5,500 ft altitude, where you’ll likely have to dodge zebra, ostriches, gazelle and be in service a greater cause, this is it.

Ahead of the race activities, we joined race host @tusk_org, and their team, to visit a few of the many schools, water projects & ranger programs the marathon helps to fund. It was incredible to see the real impact the race has had on local agricultural development, opening education pathways, anti-poaching over the marathon’s 24 years. Very hopeful to return again another year.

Hood to Coast 2022 w/ @lostboystrackclub⁣

Ended the summer with a great group of friends/teammates on the annual pilgrimage to Mount Hood, Oregon for the @htcrelay relay. Before and after the race, we partnered up with @insidetracker to explore something we’ve wondered the last couple years, what impact does 200 miles, sleep deprivation & weather conditions have on our bodies? ☠️⁣

Excited to sit down with the @insidetracker team, @joeholder & @emilyabbate tomorrow evening in NYC to recap our team, the race and what we learned post-race. Thanks @timrossi for pulling the crew together.⁣
