A local resident admiring the view from the Oslo Opera House on this amazing day.
Many seagulls live in the fjords and they have been our constant travel companions on the journey here from Tromsø.

I never post photos of myself but this is one someone on our recent expedition sent me and for me, it represents one of the most amazing experiences. This was the morning of our first polar bear sighting at Viking Bay in Scoresbysund, Eastern Greenland.

And the Monolith which is one of the more prominent sculptures and stands in the highest point in the park. The stone it was carved from was delivered from southern Norway in the late 1920's.

The fountain in Vigelandsparken located in Oslo on an awesomely sunny day. This fountain is the earliest sculpture in the park of over 200.

A few people we met said it rained in Bergen a lot and it didn't disappoint. There was a bit of a break from it for a few hours so we headed up to Fløyen on the funicular. There is a great view of the city and the weather that was heading our way!

So many waterfalls as we drive towards Bergen. Tvindefossen is about 110 metres high and I have seen photos of it with much more water flow but of course this is season dependent.

On the walk back down and a closer look, there was a very old car inside the garage and it looked as though it had not been disturbed in decades.

One of the views of Sivlefossen. A very overcast days and gave a drab colour cast to the surrounding area. Lots of rain today and so far we are lucky to have stayed dry. The road to access this point used to be the only road to cross this area so it was a strategically significant road during the NAZI occupation of Norway in WWII.

A little further up the road and closer to the waterfall lookout is a bend that has what we thought might be several manhole covers. However, a little further on an info board had the story. Basically, these are preserved pits the NAZI's filled with explosives in WWII to destroy the road if the allies tried to use it.

There used to be a road to drive to Stalheimskleiva but it is now closed but you can walk up to the viewing platform for the waterfall along the steep and winding road. We found this old garage off to the side and there was a rusted and very old car inside and I doubt this had been opened in decades.

In the early hours of the morning a new cruise ship emerges put of the mist as it heads into Flåm Port. They move quite silently and looks so eerie.

And walking back into Flåm, we came across a field of Long-horned cows completely uninterested in the passes by and the last Flåm to Myrdal of the day.
