Being a vampire would fix me. 😔 If you look closely you can see my writing process in these memes. Particularly the secound. 😌 I actually love this photo set so much. Like so much. I had an hour for the hair/makeup (which was such an uphill battle lmao) and an hour to actually shoot before I had to pack up so it was such a quick go compared to the time I have to set up for other shoots and I’m really proud of what I did with the limits.

Which shot is your favourite?

Photos as usual shot, styled, and edited by moi in my studio *cough* living room *cough cough* 🖤

Everything is from @the_lotus_flower_project 🌈
Besides makeup which is from @morphebrushes @kvdbeauty @glamlite (their Scream collection is it for me truly)💄💋
And the hair clip is @nicolemillernyc 🐍
And the hat of course I just owned already because why wouldn’t I- 😭

“Do you know how my future is going to go?”
The violet eyes stare back at her. Unmoving.
Wendy nods. “Probably for the best that I don’t know, isn’t it?”

Years in the making my little short story’s home is almost out in the world! AS WE CONVENE is an anthology I’m so proud to be a part of and my short story IF WALLS COULD TALK is one I think about so often. It tells a tale through the eyes of Wendy’s bedroom walls as it comes time to finally grow up and move on from Neverland and its magic. Peter Pan has always been one of my favourite fairytales so I was ecstatic when I got the opportunity to create this tale set in it’s world with these characters I grew up loving. I can’t wait for everyone to be able to hold this story in their hands. 😭 This will be my secound anthology in general and my secound anthology with the fabulous @laurentdavila , if you haven’t checked out the first PLACES WE BUILD IN THE UNIVERSE you absolutely should it features an array of talented Latinx authors including fellow local author @shellyflowers and is available in @barnesandnoble and Amazon. Buy it and pre order this one so it has a friend. 😌 The link to both anthologies are in my bio for easy access. If you send me a screenshot of your pre order I’ll make a TikTok crying about it. 😘🧚🏿

And here I sit alone behind walls of regret; falling down like promises that I never kept… 💔👑

This one is one of my favourites that I’ve edited so far actually. It makes me feel like stressing over the perfect light was worth it. In my dreams I get to do an actual collaborative gallery show for this Castles Crumbling photoset because I actually love it a lot and am putting a lot into every photo I edit—hence why I haven’t finished it. Someday maybe my silly little Taylor Swift fanart will be seen by more eyes, for now I hope you enjoy it.
.
@the_lotus_flower_project supplied the pretty Princess dress without which I would have nothing to be dramatic in the woods in
Photo was edited by Disney’s enby princess

❤️‍🔥 Attention Jax a new poetry and prose open mic has entered the scene! ❤️‍🔥 Come celebrate poetry open mics being back at @thewalrusjax with a new look, new themes, and new host! (Me! @stilesig_ ) We’ll be in this space every first and third Wednesday to open the floor for you to say what you need to say and give performers a stage where they can hone their craft, meet their community, get peer feedback if wanted, and celebrate themselves. I’ll be pulling themes each time from lyrics or poems or book quotes. Not an order, just the vibe suggestion.

With Election Day right before, I think we’ll all need a space to vent and get it out so the theme is “I’m Tired and Angry but Somebody Should Be!” I know the state of things are rough at best and it’s scary out there, so now more than ever we need to lean on each other and we need to raise our voices, they won’t hear us unless we make them. Make sure you get out there and vote, then come here and talk your mind. If we’re together, we’ll win. Let’s do some poetry.
