Finding the right reference shouldn’t slow down the idea.

StillSearch is built to make visual research faster, more intuitive, and more useful for filmmakers and creatives.

Search by mood, framing, color, movement, and more, then turn the references you find into something you can actually build from.

Sometimes you know the color before you know the frame.

With Search by Color on StillSearch, you can choose a specific color, explore different color harmonies, or combine color with any keyword to narrow down your references.

Looking for a warm red-lit close-up? A blue monochromatic night scene? Or frames built around complementary colors?

Start with the color. Refine the search. Find the frame. by @stillsearchofficial

Introducing StillSearch, the better visual search for filmmakers.

Easily search by composition, subject, mood, or even an idea. Spend less time searching and more time building your references.

Our library is still growing, but the goal is simple: make visual reference search accessible, easier and more relevant.

We’ll share our latest search benchmark in the next post, along with our plans for an even smarter way to search.

StillSearch now has over 3,000 images in the library 🙌🏻

We’ve been reaching out to filmmakers directly and asking for permission to curate their work. To everyone who has said yes, thank you. Your trust helps us grow a more open and better reference library for the filmmaking community.

StillSearch is building a better visual search and reference platform for filmmakers — made to help you find references faster, collect ideas, and shape visual direction more easily.

We’re currently in closed beta and constantly evolving. If you’re interested in having your work included on StillSearch, message us.

We are now in closed beta.

StillSearch is built around a simple mission: to make a better visual search accessible to every filmmakers, while giving access to anyone to contribute to a shared visual library.

We’re slowly opening access as we continue shaping the platform, growing the gallery, and building a better way for filmmakers to search, collect, and organize references.

For now: browsing, search, and download is open to everyone, while account access and boards is invite-only.

If you’d like to try StillSearch early, join our Discord and request access. We’d love to have you with us as we build this.
