and suddenly all in the world is right again☁️ by @stillyoga

Starting next month 7th Nov I shall be holding breathwork sessions. From 6pm till 7:30pm.

You dont need to know what breathwork is to participate, just be curious and eggcited (couldnt resist)

This will be using conscious connected breath throughout these sessions.

Conscious connected breathwork offers significant benefits, including stress and anxiety reduction by calming the nervous system, enhanced emotional well-being through releasing stored emotions, and improved mental clarity and focus. The practice also leads to greater self-awareness, increased energy levels due to better oxygenation, and a stronger immune system.

If you have any questions please feel free to DM me. Lets get curious about our breath!

Limited space please reserve online @stillyoga by @stillyoga

“Therefore, dear Sir, love your solitude and try to sing out with the pain it causes you. For those who are near you are far away... and this shows that the space around you is beginning to grow vast.... be happy about your growth, in which of course you can't take anyone with you, and be gentle with those who stay behind; be confident and calm in front of them and don't torment them with your doubts and don't frighten them with your faith or joy, which they wouldn't be able to comprehend. Seek out some simple and true feeling of what you have in common with them, which doesn't necessarily have to alter when you yourself change again and again; when you see them, love life in a form that is not your own and be indulgent toward those who are growing old, who are afraid of the aloneness that you trust.... and don't expect any understanding; but believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.”#stillyoga #yoga #silverlake #echopark #echoparkyoga #silverlakeyoga #losangeles #losangelesyoga #yogaphilosophy #yogi #yogisofinstagram #yogaeverydamnday #yogalifestyle #yogajourney #yoga365 #yogagram #yogaeveryday #kula #practice #iloveyoga #anusara #yogalove

Letters to a Young Poet by @stillyoga

"I think I could turn and live with the animals, they are so placid and self contained;

I stand and look at them long and long.

They do not sweat and whine about their condition;

They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins;

They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God;

Not one is dissatisfied-not one is demented with the mania of owning things;

Not one kneels to another, nor his kind that lived thousands of years ago;

Not one is responsible or industrious over the whole earth." ― Walt Whitman #stillyoga #yoga #silverlake #echopark #echoparkyoga #silverlakeyoga #losangeles #losangelesyoga #yogaphilosophy #yogi #yogisofinstagram #yogaeverydamnday #yogalifestyle #yogajourney #yoga365 #yogagram #yogaeveryday #kula #practice #iloveyoga #anusara #yogalove by @stillyoga

15 years ago today, we opened up Still Yoga with the simple mission to serve as a hub for positive change and health in our budding Silver Lake community.
Now over 30,000 classes later, with lots of ups and downs, twists and turns, our mission has evolved into something we could have never anticipated...we have seen friendships form, marriages happen, many births and some untimely deaths. And through it all...lots and lots of yoga....tons of laughter...an abundance of falling down, getting up, going deep, healing, releasing and strengthening...all witnessed both on and off the mat. I feel only gratitude to every person who has come through the door at Still and left feeling even a little better, a little stronger, a little lighter. ⭐️

The Voice
“There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
"I feel this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong."
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What's right for you--just listen to
The voice that speaks inside.”
~Shel Silverstein

“Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”
