Signage is up!

We’ve been so pleased with our first few weeks since opening the Stirling Physio doors and are truly grateful for all the love and support to date.

We have many more exciting things in the works over the next few weeks and months.

Stay tuned! by @stirling.physio

Simon focusing on the 1%ers with Gabi, taking her through some fine tuning for her shoulders around CrossFit training currently

Some overhead prep work was in order to clean up motor control and end range strength issues on the back of some nagging rotator cuff pain

Great to have @jackson_iose in clinic after winning the Super Rugby AUS campaign with the Western Force this year!

Do your mobility. But make it mindful, calming and down-regulating for the nervous system 🧘‍♀️

A lot of us spend far too much of our daily lives in fight-or-flight carrying unnecessary tension in the body. An endless to-do list and often constantly running around potentially has our nervous system in chronic sympathetic dominance. Over time this will have an effect on our body and may contribute to poorer sleep, recovery as well as contribute to tissue sensitivity and pain.

Here @camwatkins_87 is running @beth_egbers through a mobility exercise to improve hip ROM but making it more holistic, using it as an opportunity to observe where she is holding onto tension in the body and exploring where she can let go of that tension in combination with breathing in a way that will help to turn the dial down on the nervous system. Moving more into a parasympathetic (rest and digest) state will be conducive to winding down and having a more restorative sleep, facilitating more optimal recovery. by @stirling.physio

One of my favourite core combos ❤️‍🔥
Hover-> plank -> pike -> plank to pike

You can do it on your hands or from your elbows if your wrist don’t love being load. Same idea just a different set up 🫶🏻

What a way to finish the season! 🏆
Loved being on the sidelines as physio for @coolbiniaafc this season, and even better to finish it off with a flag by @stirling.physio

💛 R U OK? Day

A conversation can make a bigger difference than you realise.

Today is a reminder to check in with the people around you - mates, teammates, family, colleagues.

You don’t need to be an expert to ask “R U OK?”

Sometimes, simply showing someone you care is enough to start an important conversation. Here at Stirling Physio, we’re all for it 💛 by @stirling.physio

Gracie’s last day! 🎉

Our lovely receptionist Gracie is finishing up with the Stirling Physio Team. After 50 years in the work force she is ready for her time off! Gracie’s friendly face and laughter will be sorely missed. Instead some big holidays are due and spending more well deserved time with family.

Thank you Gracie - wishing you all the best! by @stirling.physio

A bittersweet dinner last week as we sent off our star receptionist Liana before she starts her new job as a paramedic. It’s been such a blessing having her around the clinic and she will be missed. All the best in your career Liana! by @stirling.physio

Wanted to give a massive congratulations to this weapon @zanehealey as he’s about to embark on his first @crossfit games!

I couldn’t be more proud of this lad. For what he’s been able to achieve over these last few years. Overcoming significant injuries and whatever hurdle has come along. You’ve got an attitude of doing everything possible to be the best athlete you can possibly be, going from strength to strength.
What’s been most impressive is your growth as a human. To see the person you’ve grown into is so great to see. Lots of respect for you mate. And I know you’re just getting started!

We all know you’re going to give it absolutely everything! Enjoy the experience and have fun mate! by @stirling.physio
