If you’re new here, my name is Eric and I’m the founder of Stitch Lab! 🙂‍↔️

Stitch Lab is a beginner-friendly sewing workshop in Austin where people come to learn how to sew, get creative, meet new people, and be part of a community ✂️❤️

Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine before, want to learn a new skill, or are simply looking for a fun and creative way to spend your time, we’ve got a class for you!

From learning the basics and hemming your own clothes, to making tote bags and other projects, our goal is to make sewing approachable, fun, and accessible to everyone 👏🏽

We’re proud to be Afro-Latino owned, community-centered, and a space where creativity, connection, and confidence can grow. YA TU SABE!! 🇩🇴🇵🇷🇲🇽

If you’ve been here for a while, thank you for being part of this community. And if you’re new, bienvenidos ❤️🧵

STITCH LAB IS ON @cnbcmakeit 🤩✂️!!!

what started with a few sewing machines from facebook market and a handful of students has grown into one of the biggest sewing communities here in austin. and now our story is being shared around the world 🙏🏽❤️

i’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built 🥹 stitch lab has always been about making sewing accessible, bringing people together, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. and that’s exactly what we’ll continue to do as we grow!!!

as an afro-latino founder, it means so much to share my story and represent latinos, afro-latinos, and our Black and Brown communities. i’ll always be proud of where i come from, and i’ll continue creating spaces for our communities to be seen, celebrated, and represented 👏🏽❤️

a huge thank you to @cnbcmakeit and Jennifer Liu for sharing our story. to every single person who has taken a class, shared a post, told a friend, collaborated with us, or supported stitch lab in any way, the love and support never go unnoticed, and i’m so grateful for all of it 🫶🏽

30 people, 3 workshops & a whole lotta custom-made tote bags!!! 🤩✂️

we had the best time hosting the @fourhandsfurniture team for a private stitch lab workshop ❤️

one of our favorite things about these workshops is seeing how completely different everyone’s project turns out, but even more than that, getting to watch people create, laugh, help each other out & connect outside of the usual work setting 🫶🏽

team bonding, but make it sewing!!! 🪡🫂

looking for your next team outing? come make something with us 👏🏽😎
