✨at that point in the process…where the growing stack of blocks finally starts to feel satisfying.✨

*1,530 little pieces of fabric in this #fancyfourpatchchallenge stack so far! by @stitchnfolk

✨Some of my favorite antique quilts have the most unconventional color combinations…I guess that’s kind of what I’m going for. Having a ball with the #fancyfourpatchchallenge @reproquiltlover 😉

✨watercolor art painted by my daughter ~ to commemorate the finish of a quilt that she watched me work on “a little here and a little there”…..throughout many of her teenage years. Even the gold paint on the Singer shimmers when the light hits it just right.✨

@alison.noelle.art *Perhaps we could discuss a barn quilt for my woodshed next?!🤭 by @stitchnfolk

🍁a fall gathering ~ 18” blocks of needle-turn appliqué with a touch of wool. Prepping a few to stitch in between larger projects ~ so I can once again become familiar with my straw needle.🪡 My goal is to complete 3 blocks this season…until the gold, brown, and red colors of autumn call me to return next year.🍂 by @stitchnfolk

I did not forget about you #fancyfourpatchchallenge ~ in fact, you have just made it to the top of my list. I’ve been working with solids for so long now that I seemed to have gone a bit crazy with my prints. Switching it up and going for maximum color and contrast from this point on…I have done that a time or two with some of my projects!😁

Many thanks again to @reproquiltlover for hosting this challenge!💙 by @stitchnfolk

…..a new finish that was inspired by the image of an antique quilt I came across many years ago. Over six years in the making….did I mention that I was slow?😊 by @stitchnfolk

⭐️stars….old and new. A finished stack of 24 LeMoyne~ halfway to my goal of 48. Will look back on this quilt one day and remember that it was pieced during the summer celebrating America’s 250 years of Independence.🇺🇸 by @stitchnfolk

….time spent stitching up more stars and squares throughout this soaker of a day💦 by @stitchnfolk

🌟LeMoyne stars have captured most of my attention this past week. Prepping blocks to stitch lakeside….hand pieced and finishing at 7”. by @stitchnfolk

🇺🇸incredibly grateful for our nation’s brave souls✝️ by @stitchnfolk

✨Though I work at a snail’s pace, my #folksamplersewalong is hand quilted and officially done! Finishing really is good for the soul….I should try it more often!😊
