➡️ Up next: SUBTEXT Things are changing at Stockroom! We’ve said goodbye to The Marvel from Marple & we’re getting ready for our new exhibition! Exhibition Launch: SUBTEXT 📅 Thursday 15th October 🕔 5PM - 7PM FREE 🔗 RSVP in bio 📖 Inspired by the #NationalYearOfReading, SUBTEXT explores collective reading, the different ways people read, and how different readers bring different perspectives to the same stories. Over the summer, artist Parham Ghalamdar developed new work in collaboration with the people of Stockroom, taking passages and lines from people's favourite books, exploring different interpretations, writing responses, making changes and edits, and creating ‘Subtitles For A Film That Does Not Yet Exist’. 📽️ These lines, paired with footage from the North West Film Archive, create a new video artwork that explores how different people see and read things differently & the unique perspectives we all bring. Join us to celebrate the new work, be among the first to see the new exhibition, find out more about the National Year of Reading, and share your stories with us. #NewExhibition #VideoArt #ExhibitionLaunch by @stockr__m
