POSTS STORIES REELS

I don’t just post workouts and show off my abs. I’ve lived this.
From getting rejected as a pro football player to building my own gym in the Spanish mountains.

When we moved here, I didn’t just want a change of scenery. I needed a new mission.
So I built what I was missing: a place for people like me to train and grow together.

This is where STOLLA started.

If you’re new here, this is the best place to begin.
If you’ve been around for a while, thanks for being part of this. Hope to see you at the next camp.

Can you train together when everyone has a completely different fitness level?

That’s something we had to consider quite carefully during our latest camp.

We had participants with different training histories, physical capabilities and goals.

While the sessions were focused around the group, we made adjustments to exercises and intensity based on what each person needed.

For the our last ATC that for some that meant being challenged a little more. For others, it meant building confidence, improving technique and or learning how to approach training more effectively.

Our latest Athletic Training Camp was a little different from our usual groups.

We had people with very different training backgrounds, goals and levels of experience. Some were genuinely nervous beforehand, wondering whether they would be able to handle five days of training.

So we changed the sessions to what each person needed, while keeping everyone involved in the group.

Throughout the week we worked on strength, aerobic conditioning, technique, nutrition and recovery. But we also spent a lot of time discussing how to apply everything once they got home.

Everyone left with new insights, more confidence and plenty to work with💪

Thanks for a great week! ❤️

This weekend my clients @izatulkenss and @cembundy will both make their @hyroxworld Elite 15 Doubles debut in Hamburg. Iza with Michaela and Cem with Maarten.

I only coach Iza and Cem individually, so I’m not claiming the team result as mine. But I’ve been closely involved in both preparations for a long time. And seeing them reach this point definitely feels special🙏

The way I work with them is also quite different. With Iza there’s a lot of day-to-day contact. We’re in touch almost every day about how she recovered, how she feels and if we need to change anything for the next session. I prefer working like that because I don’t want to wait until the end of the week to find out that something should have been changed three days earlier.

With Cem, a big part of my role is knowing when to give him room to regulate things himself and when not to (and making sure he is not doing walking lunges with one of his clients sitting on his back on his rest day🙈).
There are moments where he needs to back off, but there are also moments when a session feels really really hard, but doesn’t necessarily mean he can’t handle more. Sometimes my job is then simply to say: you’re fine, keep going (especially when he visits us in Spain for a training camp).

That’s probably where I add the most value as a coach; Staying close to the athlete, knowing them well enough to make better decisions in the moment and being able to adjust quickly when needed.

I work with a small number of athletes individually, usually around a very specific performance goal. If you’re working towards something where you feel you could use this level of coaching, send me a message and tell me what you’re training for🏆 by @stolla.fit
