We built a garden for this year’s @belmondmountnelsonhotel CONFECTIONS X COLLECTIONS at @_akjpstudio 🌽 Go see it in person! Assisted by @volumetwospace & @aftersune by @stoop.capetown
CONFECTIONS x COLLECTIONS | CxC IN THE CITY 5—7 NOVEMBER 2026 AKJP Studio joins Mount Nelson and Twyg for the fifth edition of Confections x Collections — bringing contemporary African fashion beyond the runway and into the city. Just 200 metres apart, we connect fashion, art and community through SHOP THE COLLECTION at AKJP Studio, a sculptural installation by STOOP and three evenings of designer takeovers at AKJP BAR. THE LINEUP 05 NOV — SEVARIA & ONESIMO BAM 06 NOV — HAUS OF STONE 07 NOV — WANDA LEPHOTO Following each runway presentation, join us from 4pm — 9pm everyday at AKJP BAR for MCC by Krone, specially created cocktails and a closer encounter with the designers and their collections. Three days. Four designers. Two spaces. OPEN TO ALL AT AKJP STUDIO. 73 Kloof Street, Cape Town Full programme at akjpstudio.com → Journal DAY 1 | 05 NOVEMBER | SEVARIA & ONESIMO BAM Nairobi-based SEVARIA explores Afro-nostalgia through considered tailoring, fluid drapery and recycled textiles sourced from Gikomba Market, reimagining material through a contemporary lens. Cape Town-based designer and artist ONESIMO BAM challenges conventional ideas of dress through size-agnostic garments, natural fibres and a practice rooted in upcycling, community engagement and public performance. Two distinct approaches to fashion, opening CxC in the City. Discover both collections at AKJP Studio, followed by a designer takeover at AKJP BAR. DAY 2 | 06 NOVEMBER | HAUS OF STONE Rooted in Zimbabwean heritage, Harare-based HAUS OF STONE brings together cultural storytelling, traditional handcraft and contemporary design. Working with locally sourced Zimbabwean cotton and linen, the label explores the relationship between material, identity and place, preserving craft traditions while giving them new expression. Discover the collection at AKJP Studio, followed by a designer takeover and specially created cocktail at AKJP BAR. DAY 3 | 07 NOVEMBER | WANDA LEPHOTO Johannesburg-based designer and creative director WANDA LEPHOTO brings a distinctive perspective to contemporary African dress, combining luxury tailoring with archival research into South African cultural history. by @stoop.capetown

The Allium Bulgaricum and it’s long winding stems make for the perfect sculptural addition to an arrangement. We kept them long to create intentional negative space in between tulips and these two-toned anthuriums. by @stoop.capetown
