We were analysing some data today after Wrexham Bean Co. , our coffee supplier, remarked “you’re going through so much coffee!!!” ☕

Turns out, each month, we are the 3rd highest seller of @wrexhambean coffee in Wrexham and have been since we opened in July. Number 1 & 2? Wrexham AFC and Coleg Cambria!

Wow! Thank you to everyone who has been for a coffee so far and for support a local coffee roaster :) by @stori_brymbo

Did you know that @abbeywilliamsceramics uses clay from our Fossil Forest to make her pottery?

These pieces aren't just handmade by a local artist, but they have an incredible link to our 300 million year history, making them even more special.

Give Abbey a follow and check out her work up close in the current exhibition in our gallery.

Another late #fossilfriday post as you are by now accustomed too but check out this whopper! A chain of siderite concretions found by volunteer Stuart last week and cracked open by @ewantitcombe revealed a 30cm Lepidodendron branch with a terminal cone. Tremendous . Artwork by friend of the Fossil Forest and all round top bloke @paleo.tyler. this reconstruction is currently on exhibition in the @stori_brymbo gallery alongside more of his and other people's fabulous palaeoart so come and have a butchers! #carboniferous #fossils #palaeoart by @stori_brymbo

Big thank you to Magellan Aerospace for their time this week volunteering with us! 🌿

A group of their apprentices helped us clear an overgrown area of willow from Lodge Valley Park and rebuilt a section of dead hedge that is protecting our orchids. They also covered over an excavated area within Fossil Forest and removed the brambles surrounding the Euclid.

Having a helping hand with maintenance jobs like this makes a huge difference for our visitors, for nature, and makes much lighter work of a big task! As a charity with a small team, it really supports us in continuing to provide for the community.

If this sounds like something that your business might like to take part in, head to www.storibrymbo.co.uk/volunteers or email info@storibrymbo.com.
