This has been the single hardest comic to make. I debated so heavily making this. I still find myself wanting to wait for a response, a sign, something.

But then I remember all that love that’s out there, a new love that could be waiting for me. And I know I have so much in my heart to give. I can’t wait for someone who isn’t sure if they love me or not.

My heart really is still open if he ever decides to reach out. Perhaps that’s a fool’s errand, but I still have empathy and compassion for him. But I’m not waiting around anymore. I’m ready to love and be loved again.

Sometimes it’s hard not to feel haunted.

Though we haven’t talked since, I’m choosing to give myself the closure that I need.

Though the hurt still lingers after nearly a month and a half, the distance from the break has allowed me to remember the good that we shared during our time together. And I don’t regret it.

I haven’t heard from him since, but despite it all, I hope he’s doing okay.

The not knowing is the hardest part. I continue to process things slowly day by day. It’s getting easier but the frustration and sadness still lingers.

I know these things take time and that space is needed at this moment. It’s still hard to deal with the swinging emotions and the uncertainty of it all. But I’m taking things in strides and trying to ride out these feelings as best as possible. Thank you all for continuing to read my journey 🫂
