One of our current handler course teams. Despite the pressure he took, he's still clear headed enough to verbally release with no electronics!

Not my usual gym post but this is my PROUD DOG MOM MOMENT!! 🐾👑💗 MY GIRL IS SHINING!! 🥹

I adopted ZUMA aka Queen DEEV back in August, and while we’ve made SO much progress together, she was still struggling with a little social anxiety and confidence in public. So, I reached out to @strategicworkingdogs for some guidance, and she spent a week with @b.reg_ ! 🫶🏼🐾

AND Y’ALL… TODAY SHE WAS A WHOLE NEW DIVA!! 😭💗

We had the MOST successful day we’ve ever had! She was calm, confident, chill, and genuinely enjoyed every moment while Mom trained upper body. Just hanging out, people watching, and living her best life right alongside me! 🥹👑

And the sweetest part? She doesn’t even know it yet, but she’s about to REALLY start living. 🥹💕 She’s going to get to come along for the adventures, the outings, the gym days, and all the little moments that make up our life together. She has NO idea how much life she’s been missing out on, but we’re about to make up for lost time, one adventure at a time!! 🐾💗

Watching her confidence grow and seeing her realize the world isn’t such a scary place makes my heart SO happy. These might seem like little things to some people, but if you’re a dog mom, YOU GET IT. 😭🫶🏼

SO proud of my girl and SO grateful for the guidance that’s helping us grow together!

QUEEN DEEV, BABY… THE WORLD IS YOURS, AND YOU’RE COMING WITH MOM!! 👑🐾💗✨

Thank you to each student who attended as well as every handler who trusted us with your K9 partners! Also, a big thank you to Mike Salvato for all the time you put in! by @strategicworkingdogs

Day one of our basic decoy course. All working spots were SOLD OUT which means there will be a bunch of awesome new decoys going back to their agencies and training groups ready to build better dogs!

Thank you to Dallas PD for hosting us and thank you to all of the handlers who brought your dogs out! We'll see you tomorrow!

Stay tuned!! by @strategicworkingdogs

A few months back, I received a phone call from a friend of mine who I had the pleasure of instructing during a handlers course years ago. Although we regularly talk, this call was different. This call began with "I need a dog". Considering his K9 partner was still a workable age, I knew this meant one thing... he was preparing to leave law enforcement.

I knew I would never be able to replace the bond he had with his K9 partner or the phenomenal training he did, but I also felt honored that he asked me to help him with this. For people like us, help in any capacity is hard to ask for. Without hesitation, I got him what I believed would match his personality. Shortly after, he came to visit and meet his new partner, "Xero". They immediately clicked and I knew this would be the start of something amazing.

I began laying some foundation with the new pup and fast forward to late August, I delivered him while at the HITS K9 conference in Phoenix.

The burdens and mental health related challenges in law enforcement can be tough to navigate. As a veteran and former law enforcement officer, Xero's new owner will be using this journey to help others.

I'll let them tell the rest. Give their page a follow and watch their journey!

We had a blast at Phoenix HITS! We caught up with many friends, colleagues, and clients from all over! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth! We've got our spot picked out for @hitsk9conference next year!

We'll see you guys again in ORLANDO!! by @strategicworkingdogs

Couldn't wrap up a great week at HITS without stopping by the @k9irby booth to see Josh and Shannon to pick up some new gear!

"UPDATE: Shortly after we posted their training progress, Dino and Senior Corporal Kareliusson responded to a call and assisted officers in locating a weapon used in a potential offense. Good job guys!

Dino and Senior Corporal Kareliusson are putting in the work and showing why a well trained K9 team is such a valuable tool in the field."
