Grateful! @cultsurfing by @straykay_vanlife

Faces drift through me like tides.
They appear, familiar yet ungraspable, and then slip away before I can anchor them.

It’s called prosopagnosia or face blindness. Mine is mild, but enough to blur the outlines of people I’ve met, spoken with, even shared moments with.

I’ll see a face and feel a spark of recognition,
but the story behind it stays hidden.
Where did we meet?
When, how, why does this feel known?

While I search, I hold back.
I smile, I answer politely, but I don’t always step closer.
Not because I don’t want to,
but because certainty refuses to come.

And that hesitation has a weight.
It steals conversations I long for.
It builds a quiet distance in rooms full of noise.
It can feel lonely, especially when I travel alone.

But here’s the truth: I do remember.
I remember voices, laughter, stories shared.
I remember the way someone made me feel.
I just don’t always remember the map of their face.

So if I seem hesitant, know it’s not indifference.
It’s just me, still trying to place the face that’s already fading into water.

I want to dance to your rhythm,
make love to your sound,
where truth writes all the lyrics,
and our bodies sing them out loud.

I was not made for walls. I was made for open roads, salty air, endless skies, and the kind of freedom that feels like coming home. by @straykay_vanlife

You’ve seen bits and pieces, but here it is, the inside of my van.
This is where I live, work, surf, and dream.
A small space that holds everything that I need to enjoy my days living close to nature.

Crazy ride so far.
From an idea in a van to seeing our gear out there, used, shared, tagged.
We don’t take that lightly.

Thanks for the support, the messages, the feedback, and for bringing Cult along on your trips.
We’re grateful. And we’re just getting started.
