Mic’d Up Mondays 💪💪 by @streamlineperformancept

Obviously, this level of visible muscle trembling is not something that I’m actually trying to achieve with every client

However, this is a good example of a client who told me that he was performing deadlifts at the gym already.

But when we looked at his form, he was using a vertical movement pattern (squatting) instead of a horizontal movement pattern (hinging)

This is what it looked like after a sessions worth of teaching an appropriate hip hinge

This is a great template to use for minimal effective dosage strength training!

Training 8-10 hours per week for Hyrox has made my strength training become significantly more efficient

This can also be a great model for beginners or busy professionals

“Competition breeds success.” 📈

For the past 10 weeks, I’ve utilized @vald_performance ForceDecks twice per week, creating an environment where athletes can compete, measure progress, and consistently express their best efforts.

The results? ⬇️
Over 90% of recorded jumps demonstrated improvement 📈
10-weeks of constant improvement

Competition creates intent. Intent drives effort. Consistent effort drives adaptation.

Give your athletes opportunities to compete, challenge themselves, and objectively measure their performance.

Sometimes the best way to sharpen performance isn’t adding more training, it’s creating better opportunities to express it.

Simple examples: 📝

Day 1️⃣
CMJ HOH 3x3 MAX EFFORT

Weighted Jumps 4x3 (10-30% TBW)
Box Jump 4x3

Day 2️⃣
CMJ W/ Arms 3x3 MAX EFFORT

Seated Jumps 4x3 (10-30% TBW)
Seated Bix Jump 4x3

💪 Coach Monty breaks down our Core and Stability day in the program. It’s a great day to focus on accessory work that gets neglected in most other programs.

👀 Be on the lookout for info on a FREE workshop with Coach Monty coming later this month! The theme is “Train for Life” and if you want to move and feel a decade younger, feel confident in different ways to do foundational movements and progress/regress them based on your skill level then this is for you! Can’t wait to see you there!

If I see one more person doing a body weight calf raise 🙃

The calf muscle/Achilles tendon complex is the most important muscle for forward propulsion during running

Your calves are way too strong to be performing body weight calf raises & it takes heavy loading to create tendon adaptation!

If you’re dealing with calf or Achilles issues, or you’re just a runner/Hyrox athlete trying to improve performance, hit the link in my bio to fill out a coaching consult form!

💪 Check out what Coach Monty had lined up from our Monday morning semi-private strength groups in this final strength block of the program! Yes, we lift heavy stuff here!

🤔 Having a real, periodized program that allows you to become proficient in the movement and actually make gains week after week is so much more powerful in creating change than just doing a random new workout every time you come in.

That’s why having an expert coach like @amonty23 is something we value here at Streamline 🙌 Training for life is more than just making you sweat. It’s being strong on purpose and training with purpose.
