Safety. Healing. Hope. For 45 years, those words have been at the heart of LACASA Center's work throughout Livingston County. ๐Ÿ’™ One especially meaningful program is Safe Pet Place, which helps ensure survivors do not have to choose between seeking safety and protecting a beloved pet. On-site canine and feline rooms provide a safe place for animals while their families receive shelter and support. ๐Ÿพ That thoughtful approach reflects LACASA's larger mission, addressing not only an immediate crisis, but also the emotional, financial, and practical challenges survivors may face as they move forward. ๐ŸŒŸ Read the October issue of Stroll Oak Pointe to learn more about LACASA's 45 years of service and the local neighbors helping advance its mission. ๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ“ธ Photos By Footprints Photography & Kelly Stork Photography #StrollOakPointe #LACASACenter #MakingADifference #CommunitySupport #LivingstonCounty by @strolloakpointe
Friendships are par for the course at Oak Pointe. โ›ณ From the Men's Invitational and Queen of the Green finale to the beloved Polar Bear Tournament, golf traditions here have become neighborhood traditions. The Polar Bear Tournament alone routinely draws around 140 golfers willing to embrace Michigan's unpredictable November weather. ๐Ÿ‚ "You really get to know someone's character on the golf course," says Director of Golf Jon Gates. That connection extends to newcomers, longtime members, and young golfers developing their skills through Oak Pointe's junior golf program. ๐ŸŒ๏ธ Years from now, Jon hopes golf at Oak Pointe will be remembered as "an integral part of their life." With friendships formed and memories made long after the final hole, it already is. ๐Ÿ’š #StrollOakPointe #OakPointeGolf #CommunitySpirit #NeighborConnections #GolfCommunity by @strolloakpointe

Hearing that they enjoyed the experience, and that neighbors reached out with compliments, means so much! Every family has a story. Sharing those stories helps turn familiar faces into friends and gives neighbors another reason to connect. That's what we love about bringing Stroll to Oak Pointe each month. ๐Ÿกโœจ Thank you, Kathy and Paul, for sharing your family with the neighborhood, and thank you to our business partners who help make these stories possible!
