eeeeep! PGY-2 is over. I thought I took more pics lol but this is plenty. This year was a lot lol. More grief but also more life.

I lost one of my favorite attendings, Dr. Nwosu and one of my favorite peoples, my Grams. 🕊️

My beautiful nephew, Alejandro was born and my heart filled up!!!!🫶🏿

Some wins: I became a part of GAFP board. I also got to represent my program in Washington DC at Capitol Hill advocating for Medicare reform and the abolishment of fees for H1 visas. Still class rep but also became community engagement and recruitment chair, vice chair of wellness and was chosen to be my program’s American Board of Family Medicine’s Resident Champion.

God gives and he takes away. Life’s journey continues. Thank you to everyone who visited me!!! Love yall. by @studentdr.heal_thyself

Pinch me moment! Our class president said it best when she said it feels nice to be celebrated for a night. Being a high achiever we always look to the next thing to accomplish but we need to take a moment and look back on how far we have come.

I remember crying, on my knees, begging THE Lord to just give me a chance to get IN to medical school (snot and everything). Since my God lives outside of time I know he looking at me crying and He’s smiling because wow girl, not only he got you in but you killed it too👏🏾
