So, we’ve been shy about putting up pics of the library we’ve designed for The Cricket Club of India. But when the world’s most influential design website longlists your project out of over 4800 entries from 94 countries, shyness shuffles quietly over and a sprinkling of excitement may be permitted. WE ARE SUPERCHUFFED to have #TheForestofKnowledge make the cut for the #dezeenawards ! Thank you @dezeen for the nod, and congratulations to everyone who made the longlist. I feel a speech coming on, but really I mustn’t, for everyone’s sake. Exploring artistic perspectives at @sakshigallery ✨ When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. That’s how we feel about light — it transforms everything. The right light isn’t just illumination, it’s curatorial justice to the artwork and the stories it holds. What do you notice first when you step into a gallery space? 👀 Lighting Design - @studio_trace_nyc #studiotrace #sakshigallery #studionotes #lightingdesgin #gallerylighting #contemporaryart #curatorialdesign #lightandshadow #behindthescenes #designprocess #artexhibition #inthemaking #creatorsofinstagram by @studio_trace_nyc
This one is special! ✨ Lighting for Sakshi Gallery was approached as a quiet collaborator to art rather than a visible design statement. Guided by @geethamehra’s incredible vision, the intention was to create an atmosphere where light becomes an invisible curator—guiding perception, controlling contrast, and allowing each artwork to reveal its materiality, depth, and emotional tone without distraction.
