~ PREGNANCY 🤰🏻✨

Early on in our marriage we made the decision that we will be the couple who'll be ready to receive whenever God is willing to give because of four simple reasons:
• God calls children a gift from him (Psalms 127:3)
• God asks his first couple to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28)
• He says his name is Jehovah Jireh. We had/have the assurance that he will provide when he gives (Genesis 22:14)
...and also when we pray we say "Let your will be done" so why "plan" instead of submitting to his will?

So from the beginning of our marriage, we chose not to hinder what God has called a blessing.
But as the months went by, waiting started to feel heavy. I started overthinking and began questioning my own fertility. Every month, after day 20 of my cycle, I would anxiously take tests at home… hoping, wishing, overthinking. And every time my period came, I would sit and cry. After seeing this over and over my husband barred me from taking tests as he was worried seeing me like that.

So we chose faith.
We held on to Jesus. And the people around us kept reminding us, “It will happen… in His time.” (Ecc 3:11)
A verse that kept me going.

For more than three months I refrained from taking any tests and just enjoyed life for what it was.
In the middle of December, I had a dream that I had delivered a baby boy. In the dream, I remember saying, “I’m a boy mom!? I thought I’d be a girl mom!” Looking back now, I realise it was God confirming that he's gonna answer our prayers.

Then came the new year.
And my only prayer was: “Lord, let me conceive this year.”
But little did I know… He had already answered it.
Even before I whispered that prayer, He had already begun His work.

It was on Jan 6th, I was feeling unusually tired that morning and noticed that my periods had been delayed. With much anxiousness and with an equal amount of hope I tested using the stick that I had bought three months back and there it was! Two pink lines!

It was the whole hearted submission to God's will, it was the faith we had and trust we put in him, it was him reminding us that when he promises something he never fails.

It happened..."in His time"

~ Known you for 4, Acquainted for 3, Loved you for 2, Married for 1 and Forever to go...

This day takes me back to 19th Feb, 2024 — the day my dad asked if we should ask Prince’s family for an alliance. Well, let me rephrase that — he had already asked them first and then came and told me about it. I was initially infuriated, like any normal person would be. Eventually, God made me realise that this is ✨him✨.

We truly did enjoy the very long courtship period.

I’m glad I said “yes” to you, @prince.christopher22 . After a year of marriage, I can say it sure is a roller coaster ride — still learning and growing — but if I had to do it all over again, I would choose you and only you.

Thank you for being my heart and my home. I love you ♥️

“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” – James 1:17 ✨

It all started with prayer, perfectly orchestrated by God according to His perfect will, and it blossomed into a beautiful love story.

Grateful for His divine plan, His perfect timing, and His endless grace. 🙏🤍
