Great design sets the scene. Thoughtful lighting brings it to life. At ART Jakarta 2026 @artjakarta, DH Lighting Design collaborated with STUDIO TALK to bring The Declaration to life as part of the CASA VIP Lounge @casaindonesia. From the playful concept to the carefully considered lighting, every detail works together to highlight colours, enhance materials, and create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages interaction. In this edition of DH Light Talks, Adi Janitra, Principal of STUDIO TALK, shares how lighting plays an essential role in bringing the design vision to life. @adijanitra of @studiotalkdesign takes us inside the thinking behind Off The Grid at @casaindonesia The Lounge at @artjakarta.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ For Declaration, Studio Talk leaned into red at its boldest. Dramatic, graphic, and iconic became the starting point.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ The idea behind Off The Grid was just as direct. Take Ludo off the table, place it on the floor, and let the lounge become the game.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Studio Talk pushed the idea further by treating the space as the board itself. The familiar checkerboard grew to room scale. Seats and tables could shift around the grid like game pieces, so every move changed the room a little and let visitors play the space their own way. by @studiotalkdesign
At ART JAKARTA 2026, @studiotalkdesign presents Off The Grid for the @casaindonesia VIP Lounge, a space shaped by many hands, ideas, and conversations. At the heart of the space, Singres’ Strati Maroon mosaic creates a striking architectural feature, framing a large window-like opening that invites visitors to look inside. Each sheet combines three surface profiles: flat, concave, and convex, bringing depth, rhythm, and texture to the bold red palette. As light moves across the different surfaces, the mosaic reveals a play of shadows that adds another dimension to the design. OFF THE GRID ❤️‍🔥— where art, space, and form come together Designed by @studiotalkdesign for the VIP Lounge @casaindonesia at @artjakarta 2026 with @haasdesign pieces woven into the space 💫 by @studiotalkdesign
Inside the VIP Lounge @casaindonesia @artjakarta 2026, designed by @studiotalkdesign ❤️💫 Honoured to have @haasdesign as part of this project, contributing our decorative objects and floor lamps to the space. Being part of a project like this, at one of Indonesia’s most significant art platforms, feels incredibly meaningful for us. A special thank you to Mas @adijanitra for inviting @haasdesign into the project and trusting our pieces to be part of the vision. Grateful for the opportunity, the trust, and for giving our work a place in a space like @artjakarta @studiotalkdesign @casaindonesia @artjakarta by @studiotalkdesign
Off The Grid - a space shaped by many hands, ideas, and conversations. What a journey it has been bringing this together with an incredible group of collaborators. Thank you to @casaindonesia @artjakarta and everyone who contributed to the process, and to all our friends who came by, supported us, and experienced the space. A truly special collaboration — made even more memorable by sharing the stage with three other wonderfully talented designers @spatial.sonata @rumanara.studio @kthengono , each bringing their own distinct perspective to the experience. Behind every breathtaking space is a journey of deep collaboration. The process vs. the result—we love them both equally. This year, we are truly grateful and thrilled to have supported @kthengono, @rumanara.studio, and @studiotalkdesign on the landscape design & build for the VIP Lounge at Art Jakarta. Feeling deeply honored to be part of this vision. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, and see you next year! ✨ #larchstudio #landscapejakarta #artjakarta by @studiotalkdesign
Driven by iconic, bold and graphic of red statement, Studio Talk (@studiotalkdesign) presenting “Off The Grid”. Exploring the concept of DECLARATION, this entire space brings a playful twist inspired by the classic Ludo Board Game. • The concept comes to life quite literally, turning the space into an immersive grid checkerboard experience. • Producer: @diyanafa Videographer: @iman.syayogya Editor: @farhanraf • #CASA #CASAIndonesia #ArtJakarta2026 by @studiotalkdesign
OFF THE GRID What if the room became the game? Inspired by Ludo, Studio Talk takes the geometry of the board game off the table and onto the floor. A field of red and cream grids defines the lounge, shifted, interrupted and reconfigured to create a landscape that is at once graphic, dramatic and playful. Artworks by Owi Liunic punctuate the space, blurring the boundary between lounge and gallery, while a dedicated children’s corner extends the idea of play to its youngest visitors. Here, red is more than a colour. It is an attitude: dramatic yet playful, ordered yet unexpected. A place to gather, pause, discover and play. Featured Project — @studiotalkdesign A space shaped by a thoughtful interplay of colour, texture, material, and form. Each element is given room to stand on its own, while contributing to a sense of balance across the home. The furniture and objects are selected to bring contrast and character into the space, creating an interior that feels expressive, layered, and deeply personal. Among the selected pieces are the Geo Coffee Table by United Strangers, paired with the Charlotte Blush and Ludwig Cognac rugs by SAWDUST, adding sculptural form, warmth, and texture to the composition. We are honored to be part of this project, curating selected pieces from SAWDUST that complement Studio Talk’s design philosophy, where individuality, thoughtful materiality, and a considered approach come together to create spaces with character. A home where every piece has its place, and every detail contributes to the whole. 📍 Jl.
