Tracing Boteh between West Asia, South Asia and Switzerland: Simulacral Forms in Architecture and Crafts as Carriers of Globalization and Appropriation Ongoing project by @studiotekkeh
In dialogue with the Disobedience Archive at Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, the project investigates archives as active sites for resistance and collective memory rather than neutral repositories. By unsettling traditional narratives, the collaboration seeks to uncover suppressed histories and imagine new, solidary futures through counter-archival work. As part of the Canopy Sessions, this public iteration of the chair’s Book Club transforms a pedagogical design tool into a collective reading practice held within the Shamiana textile space. Participants are invited to engage with postcolonial studies, feminist theory, and environmental humanities to explore the (im)materiality of knowledge production. Rather than a standard academic summary, the session fosters a dialogue centered on shared vulnerability and storytelling, reimagining the archive as a living site of refusal and communal attention. Join us next Wednesday, 20 May, 18:00–20:00 at Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst Limmatstrasse 270, 8005 Zürich; Shamiana Meetingspace (first floor) by @studiotekkeh
We warmly invite you to our chair exhibition “The Image in Question: Dismantling Architectural Fictions” soft-launching this March! Taking the question of how architectural heritage is constructed and valued as its point of departure, the exhibition asks: How can we challenge the structures that have universalised architectural heritage as a single timeline of value and progress? Through acts of unarchiving, dismantling and refusal, it explores alternative ways of producing, inheriting, displaying and teaching architecture. ETH Hönggerberg, HIL Foyer Stefano-Franscini-Platz 5, 8049 Zürich 23 March–13 May 2026 Monday–Friday, 07:00–19:00 Walkthrough and Apéro with Prof. Mariam Issoufou @mariamissoufouk 15 April 2026, 18:00 Guided tours available upon request Curated by Adriana Dominguez @yerbita in collaboration with with Martina Diaz, Nico Canal, Sara Frikech @frkch_, Rami Msallam, Alexander Cyrus Poulikakos @studiotekkeh and Severin Weber @severinweber_ Graphic Design by Severin Weber @severinweber_ by @studiotekkeh
The office transformation in Zurich, Wiedikon is a spatial and material transformation in an existing office and commercial building from the 1960s. The project recognizes the elongated connecting corridor as the main spine of the 450m2 area and emphasizes its importance as a connective and reflective space of osmosis.  The trompe l’oeil ceiling along with the smoked oak floor allow for calmness and a sustainably harmonious yet unique atmosphere. The entrance space is opened up, allowing natural light to enter and exposing the reinforced concrete structure with the free standing column carrying the reflective ceiling. The project takes reference to the building’s original design period while translating it into a contemporary architectural language.  Client: Landmann & Partner AG Completion: 2026 #officetransformation #artemide #tekkeh #architecture #zurichdesign by @studiotekkeh
