Nathan Fustec @studiotheoulas is a cornerstone.
He pours so much of himself into all that he loves
for the outcome more than the glory.
He’s the underdog MVP.

I first met Nathan at a choir rehearsal. He discreetly walked in with a bloodied nose and his recording equipment intact instead of nicked. He’d been underestimated and was ready to sing.

He’s one of London’s most talented and hard working sound engineers. First one in, last one out, making us sound good. And as a BECTU representative, he works hard to better his community.

@conglomerationofpeeps is blessed to have this gem of a human on our core team. Nathan is the reason the recording sounds so good. He did it all from setting up the 16 mics to mixing it.
(special thanks to our friends @totalrefreshmentcentre including @sydkemp for lending us extra mics).
Working with Nathan on sound and @nancychamberlain_ as our filmmaker is what allows @conglomerationofpeeps to ambitiously plot for future clusters of musicians to improvise with.

Nathan is not limited to technical wizardry, I’ve always known him as a boundless improviser and songwriter. He had to be a part of our 1st cluster of musicians. You will hear him anywhere from driving us on bass, piercing boundaries on a guitar or floating with an oud. taken in Total Refreshment Centre by @nancychamberlain_

Our first gig as TAKU

“You sound like you’ve been playing together for 10 years. Really? It was all improvised!!?” Thanks friend for review 🫶🏻

Yup. With the chemistry being just right, TAKU has emerged from the Conglomeration of Peeps playground to become an indomitable phenomenon of its own.

🇬🇧 A recording studio set inside a chapel, in the heart of slow Brittany.

At Studio Théoulas, sound takes its time.
Voices, instruments and silence coexist in a unique acoustic space.

Housed in the former chapel of Château de Brélidy, the studio offers artists a place to slow down, listen and create differently.
A rare luxury.

A few pics from our October 2024 session with the incredible @nakedbrunchband who managed to record a whole 13 songs in less than 5 days with time to spare!

Thanks for making my studio sound this good!

And thanks to everyone else who recorded here in 2024 such as @digabestr_festnoz, Berrjul, Coach Love and others.

Here's to more of those in 2025!

✨ Un début de semaine hors du temps... ✨
