Yearly dressing up for Ma Durga ✨🙏🏼

It’s that one time of the year when I miss my home city the most!! 😭
But the celebrations in London did make up for it a bit - pujo hopping was done, biriyani & maangsher chop was had, and even wore pretty red bangles to get into the festive spirit!! 🌹

Dear London 🇬🇧,
Today we celebrate 4 years of togetherness! ✨

4 years of exploring neighbourhoods, enough to know what’s the best (and worst) things about East vs West.
4 years of recognising the change in your seasons by the layer of clothing I add or remove.
4 years of knowing that whatever cuisine of food I might crave, I’ll find an eatery to satiate the craving.
4 years of getting to know each other, one tube ride at a time.

I am a Londoner who still loves being a tourist in this iconic city - because everywhere I look, I see my vision board come to life 📸 💫

There’s a glimmer in every little moment of my days spent here ✨

☕️ The office coffee taste nicer in the cup gifted by my bestie

🚇 The tube rides are never boring, because every commuter looks like their life is a story waiting to be told

🌼 Buying myself pretty flowers is my antidote to stressful days

📖 There’s nothing more fulfilling and calming than my solo dates with my books

I came to pursue my Masters here, but London didn’t let my academic journey stop there.

Had never even contemplated doing an MBA, yet here I am! 🎓

There’s never a dull day in this city - long sunny walks in the park during summer to Autumn evenings spent gorging on good food at Chinatown to living my Christmas dreams at Winter Wonderland - my days are always full, and so is my heart! ☀️🍂❄️

London gave me a soul sister to share this crazy ride with 👯‍♀️

Exploring London (and beyond) is double the fun because we get to do it with together, one saved reel at a time! 🫶🏼

4 years of finding little pieces of home in every corner of the city.

4 years of collecting favourite places, familiar faces and stories along the way.

4 years of knowing London well enough to miss it when I’m away.

4 years of writing my own fairytale in this magical city, and hoping that I get to do this for many more years to come 💫 by @styleprism_anupriya

Jumping on to the trend - better late than never 🫠🤭

If you are looking for a mid-budget beachfront resort in the serene South Goa neighborhood, then save this post for your next Goa trip! 📌

A resort filled with palm trees, a gorgeous pool, and its own private access to the pristine Colva beach? Yes please!! ☀️🌊🏖️

If you go in shoulder seasons like the monsoons, spring or autumn, then there’s a great chance that sometimes you will have the whole beach all to yourselves!

A dream come true for an ocean-lover like myself 🫠🌊

Enjoy delicious breakfast by the pool every morning, or lounge in their earthy and aesthetic common areas (including a gazebo which has books & games) 🌴

The rooms are spacious and tastefully done up, with all necessary amenities offered.

My favourite part was the cozy balcony that looked over the luscious green garden - a blissful corner for a cup of coffee and my holiday read! 🌿☕️📕

Spend afternoons in the pool, splashing around and cooling off - the restaurant is right next to it so you can also enjoy some poolside snacks!

A gorgeous property, very well-maintained and aesthetic - the staff are lovely and always attentive & helpful too!

Would definitely recommend 💯

Under an hour’s train ride away from London lies a castle with a history that spans 700 years!
@ashridgehouse is not only a heritage icon of architecture & history, but currently a business school and much in-demand wedding venue.

Last week, I had the fortune of gracing these hallowed halls that once served as residence for King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I.

In fact, parts of the Harry Potter movies have been shot here, specially in the surrounding estate & grounds!!

How cool is it that the organisation I work at now owns this castle/house and turns it into a venue for the office summer party! 💫

Definitely my glimmer of the week!! ✨✨✨

Mooching around Sunday markets full of vintage goodies (and staying clear of the Annabel-esque dolls) 🖼️

Exploring aesthetic London neighbourhoods and walking around pretty streets 🌸

Queueing up almost an hour for Anya Hindmarch’s The Ice Cream Project - butter and shortbread flavoured ice creams made it worthwhile 🍨

Gorged on yummy Bengali food, took spicy marg breaks in between long walks in the sun - just summer-ing through June 🍹 by @styleprism_anupriya

May was like a blip in time - memorable moments jostled with unwanted anxiety & stress. The flows took me up on waves of exciting highs, while the ebbs dragged me down till I got helplessly tangled in seaweeds. May was the month I taught myself only to count the glimmers - over & over again, in each journal entry, till the glimmers outshine the glitches.

So, here are some glimmers from May - Nordic lights, summer picnics, mangoes from the Motherland, starting new academic adventures, splurging on new shoes, spending time with nature & books, and just holding myself together when the going gets tough. ✨

Here’s looking forward to a more glimmer-y June! 💫

There’s something magical about the fjords around Oslo - the calm water, the tiny islands scattered like hidden gems, and the boats quietly drifting through it all. Every view feels like a postcard, but somehow even better in real life. 🌊⛵️
I could spend hours just watching the sunlight dance on the water and the forests wrap around the shoreline. Nature here has a way of making everything slow down in the best possible way. Norway, you really know how to leave an impression. 🇳🇴✨

🌳 Into the Woodlands 🌳

@chiswick_house is a gorgeous location for a day of exploring - the lush grounds, serene streams (with swans floating by), the magnificent buildings and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect place to enjoy nature while being in the heart of London!

If you haven’t been here already, bookmark it for a summer weekend out!!
