Workshop alert! On the 14 of November Heloise will host a workshop mending at SUD. The workshop will offer a hands-on experience of mending/embroidering textile. It focuses on six different embroidery techniques, with attention to fixing, but also styling clothes. Participants are guided through the full process from inserting a thread in a piece of textile to fixing or styling a garment, gaining insight into mending as an accessible way to value what you have in your wardrobe as well as turning your clothes into unique pieces with a history. No prior experience is required, and all materials are provided. If you would like you can even bring your own garments to work with! You can book now, through the link in our bio! Tour du Sud ✧ Thank you for joining us last weekend!! This was our first time heading out on the trail for Tour du Sud, and we didn’t dare to dream so many of you would join us! ✶ ✶ A little recap of our weekend: ✧ Seeing everyone roaming the streets with their maps and collecting stamps was so lovely. It feels surreal that we brainstormed these ideas just a few months ago and now got to see them come to life! ✧ So many wholesome moments at Camp Craft: seeing you crafting together, following workshops or bringing your own projects to work on. ✧ We loved seeing you pick your patches and getting to embroider them onto your clothes. We even got to do a baby outfit, so cute!! We’ll keep experimenting with our machine and see what else is possible. ✧ We invited you deeper into the making proces with our first exhibition: The Lookout at de Meldkamer. ✧ And of course, Bazaar du Sud at the beautiful Andrieskapel. A big thank you to all the lovely makers who joined us! ✶ We couldn’t have celebrated Bazaar du Sud’s 5-year anniversary in a better way. Tour du Sud won’t become a yearly event, but there will definitely be other events in the future! ✶ Thank you to everyone who explored, created and supported us. You made our first Tour du Sud so special!! ✧ Team Tour du Sud ✧ ✧ Oh and: You can still redeem your full stamp cards at SUD for one month, so take your time and stop by whenever you feel like starting a new creative adventure. Our window for TEFAF is ready 🫧🫧 Created in collaboration with the sisters behind Muses’s Alchemy and The Muses Grove, Agascha and Glafira Taratynova. Meanwhile, SUD is also participating in Emerging Artists Unveiled, the city-wide program highlighting young talent in Maastricht during TEFAF. This means that during and around TEFAF, we’ll showcase works by Sacha Jongerius (@jongerius.sacha) and Glafira Taratynova (@the_muses_grove). More info about when to visit the expo soon! @visitmaastricht @centrummanagement_maastricht @tefaf by @sudmaastricht
A dream come true! Our own SUD ceramics ☕️ Thanks @driessencas for creating this collection and involving us in the process. Still so surreal to sip coffee from our own cups. Hop in to see (and use) them yourself! 🤍 by @sudmaastricht
✶ PICK A PATCH at SUD this weekend only! Bring your own cotton clothing or pick up a tote bag or pencil case at the store. Choose your favourite design and watch it come to life with live machine embroidery ✧ A little personal touch, stitched on the spot! Bringing your own item? Our embroidery machine can be picky! For the best result, please bring a non-stretchy, non-transparent cotton textile. Good to know: ✧ The maximum embroidery size is ~ 8 x 8 cm. ✧ For this special set up, we’ll be stitching all designs in black thread. ⛳︎ SUD (store) ✶ One of the stops along Tour du Sud, a city-wide celebration bringing together creative spaces across the Sphinxkwartier. ✶ Day one of the very first Tour du Sud is a wrap! ✶ A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported local makers, explored our curated exhibition, joined a workshop, and celebrated the 5th birthday of Bazaar du Sud with us. ✧ Tour du Sud is a two-day cultural event celebrating craft, creativity, and the people behind the making. It’s been so lovely to see everyone come together for the first edition! ⛳︎ The celebration continues tomorrow! There’s still time to explore the exhibition, discover local makers, and stop by at Camp Craft for the Upcycle Station (free entry).
