Storm outside. Train inside. 🌧️💨🏃‍♂️ The weather won’t always play ball this autumn/winter. What’s your go to indoor session? Adapting, putting the work in, staying consistent. Whatever the conditions, keep moving forward. Plus… we think our gear looks just as good inside as on the trails. #Summitz #ReachYourPeak #RunningCommunity #RunTraining by @summitzuk
🏔️ UTMB KODIAK 50K – WHAT A RACE! 🐻🔥 ⏱️ 6:38:05 🏁 264th out of 752 runners Absolutely BUZZING with that result!! 🤩 I went into this race with a target of 8 hours, but I knew I wanted to push myself and see what I was capable of. I gave it absolutely everything out on those trails, dug deep when it hurt and kept pushing right to the finish line! 💪 To cross that line over 1 hour and 20 minutes faster than I’d predicted is a feeling I won’t forget anytime soon! The climbs, the descents, the stunning scenery and the atmosphere made this one seriously special. ⛰️🇺🇸 I’m absolutely over the moon with how I performed. It’s races like this that remind me why I love ultrarunning so much. The hard work, the training and those tough sessions are all worth it for days like today! A massive thank you to everyone for all the support, encouragement and messages before, during and after the race. It genuinely means so much and makes moments like this even more special! 🙌❤️ Shout out to @scottrunning for the Kinabalu Trail Shoes 🙌 @kodiak_ultramarathons, you were incredible! 🐻🔥 #UTMBKodiak #KodiakUltraMarathons #Kodiak50K #UTMBWorldSeries #UltraRunning by @summitzuk

CCC done - 15:48. 67 miles - 21,000ft vert I wasn’t really up for this one if I’m honest. I’ve felt pretty cooked for the last few weeks and even considered not starting. It’s been a long season and I think mentally and physically I was just about done with racing. But I was there, and already in too deep… Anyway, race went off super-fast. I settled in somewhere around 200th which still felt fast, but never really felt like I was in the red. Everything was going pretty well until about 40 miles when I had a decent slap off (the ground). Banged my head, arm and knee hard enough that my Garmin went into emergency mode. Felt alright for the next few miles while the adrenaline was doing its job, then gradually everything started hurting and I felt a bit sick and dizzy. Didn’t really slow me down much though, and some of that could equally have been the start of a bonk. Barring that, after the 1st climb I actually felt OK for most of the race. About 3 miles from Vallorcine I realised there were no more aid stations and I’d managed to run out of basically everything. By Chamonix I was properly shaky and absolutely desperate for sugar. Finished in 15:48. Not quite what I’d originally had in my head, but considering the route this year was 5 miles long, the season I’ve had, I'd done a sub 9 Ironman the month before, and the fact I wasn’t exactly bouncing to get on the start line, I’m pretty happy with it. I’m deeply tired now, but pleased to have ticked it off. Kit was faultless. I wore the Scott Kinabalu Trail shoes with Summitz socks and cap, and everything else was top-end Scott RC kit, kindly provided by @scottsportsuk, Everything was perfect and I didn’t change a single item of clothing all day. I absolutely fucking stank by the end mind, but apparently that’s not a technical fault. I did have concerns about the Kinbalus before the race and weather they'd be up to the task, but they were perfect, really rate them now. Anyway - CCC ✅ Next up - Kodiak 100m 🗻 by @summitzuk

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of supporting friend of Summitz, Simon Lowe, on his successful Bob Graham Round. A huge effort from Simon and a brilliant day out in the fells with some great people. We’ll always support the runners who support us. Congratulations @the_lowedown . 👏⛰️ #Summitz #BobGrahamRound #TrailRunning #FellRunning #MountainRunning by @summitzuk
Bob Graham Round - 23:57 👌⛰️ Congratulations Simon. An absolute epic! @the_lowedown 42 peaks. 66 miles. 27k feet elevation. #bobgrahamround by @summitzuk
A dream that became an obsession. A week today, I’ll stand on the start line of the Bob Graham Round: 42 summits, around 66 miles, and 27,000ft of climbing. For a long time, it was something I admired from afar. I dreamt of attempting it one day, but never truly believed I’d be fit enough or have the support network needed to take on a challenge like this. Somewhere along the way, though, the dream became an obsession. The early mornings, setbacks, doubts, lessons learned, and countless shared miles have all led to this moment. And if there’s one thing I’ve discovered, it’s that nobody gets to a Bob Graham start line alone. The camaraderie surrounding this round is legendary, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported, encouraged, paced, advised, and believed in me. A special thank you to Luke at Run Eat Sleep for believing in me from the beginning, supporting my training, and being there on the round itself. Whatever happens out on those fells, I’ll leave everything I have out there. Time to find out what’s possible. #BobGrahamRound #BGR #FellRunning #TrailRunning #FindYourRhythm by @summitzuk
