to this show, “pippin”, thank you. to my character, “fastrada”, thank you. the amount of personal growth these past few months have brought me is incredible. i cannot be more lucky to have been a part of something like this. i always say it, but thank you to every single one of my castmates, producers, my director Linda and to my music director Zach. i am so humbled and grateful that i was able to learn from all of you in your individual ways and be uplifted in the way that i was. i didn’t realize how much i truly loved theatre until later in high school. for the (only two) shows that i’ve done, which have gone by in the blink of an eye, i cannot have imagined the past 2 years being any other way. thank you halos for the title of “best featured dancer” as well as a full scholarship to dance molinari, i am so so grateful! i could not be more in awe by the way that my passion for dance has shifted me in this new but exciting direction. i think a piece of my heart was left with this show. i’m never going to forget this. thank you northstar❤️ by @sunia_the_dancer
hi internet🧸 sooo those who personally know me know that sunia the dancer isn’t just “sunia the dancer”, but i actually have a strong passion for singing as well. the dopamine that i feel simply from being on stage and sharing my art and (hopefully) touching someone is a feeling that i truly can’t explain to someone. a huge thank you to my drama club for hosting a beautiful cabaret. i’m so grateful to have found a second home with you guys. enjoy my first experience of ever singing solo in front of a crowd. this is suuuper vulnerable for me to post but this song really does mean a lot to me and so does the beautiful soul that created it. (i hope i can meet you some day 🥲 @billieeilish ) by @sunia_the_dancer
one last time🥲🥲🫶🏽 #blackhistory#bhm#ballet#contemporarydance#brownballerina i do not own the rights to this music by @sunia_the_dancer
to say that i’m beyond grateful would be an understatement. i love this show so much and was lucky enough to be casted as a murderess in @northstarplaymakers teen version of CHICAGO! thank you linda, thank you northstar, and hugest thank you to my irreplaceable support system that’s always behind whatever i do. i love you❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 and all that jazz😉 by @sunia_the_dancer
“Does My Brown Skin Intimidate You?” A few weeks ago, some very significant people in my life had unintentionally inspired me to create this original poem. Those people still may not even know it. Thank you Ms. T, Mr. Rinaldi, all the security staff, and everyone else involved in this show. I enjoyed every moment of the process and performance... It was so nice to build new connections and reestablish old ones! This next stage in my life will be filled with lots of new poetic endeavors. As much as I love to dance, I absolutely love writing as well as speaking my mind about many things. (I get it from my momma😉) Happy Black History Month! Black is BEAUTIFUL🪄🫶🏽🤎 (the music used is for artistic purposes only. i do not own the rights!) by @sunia_the_dancer
