Old house restoration update ☺️ by @sunsetsandoldsouls

by @sunsetsandoldsouls

Long and sappy post warning!!!!!
I first want to say thank for all of the happy birthday calls, texts, and posts! Yesterday was a great day! #54 will be one for the record books! Most of yall know we been dating a minute 🤣 or so (lost count how many years). Homer has been patient as I had to overthink every single thing 100 times over and one more time. So yesterday as we were headed to dinner, he said we were gonna go by “the Gholson house to see if they put the flagging out for the power lines” (he’s the project manager ☺️) We walked around a few minutes-talking about this and that we gonna do inside then as we were walking out the door to leave, he said “sit on the swing a minute-I got another present for you”. So he pulls out the ring-I may have already said yes as he was getting on his knee to say he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. No one was hiding in the bushes to take pictures-just us-we actually left and when I said “we gotta take pics and start sending”-of course I was the only one who didn’t know of this plan so everybody was waiting to hear about it-he pulled over, turned around and went back so we could take pictures here. This story started a few years ago-that was one chapter and now we are starting a new one. Homer Hall-with no middle name 😍-I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you and see what the good Lord has in store for us!!!! by @sunsetsandoldsouls

This was a fun day. The house has good bones but this part had to go-hole in the roof and rotting floor. You can see that it was probably added on for a bathroom and closed porch. by @sunsetsandoldsouls

Just imagine what she will look like with a fresh coat of paint. Foundation work coming soon. by @sunsetsandoldsouls

Kinda nervous but a lot excited about this new adventure! Will be setting up a booth. More details coming soon! by @sunsetsandoldsouls

A new happy place-my back porch swing! I’ve been wanting one for a long time. And the last picture says it all-it is a great place to rest and reflect but most of all-a place to gather and laugh and enjoy the sweet little moments. #countryliving #olddoors #family #vintage by @sunsetsandoldsouls

I sure do love a challenge and this one is still in the works. Will keep sharing the fun we’ve had getting the wood out and a couple of ways that I’ve already repurposed some of the wood. ❤️ by @sunsetsandoldsouls

Love finding new old things and looking back on when I found an old old thing. I have been loving and collecting for over 30 years. And now that vintage is “in”-kinda makes me think about that old song “I was country when country wasn’t cool”. #vintage #countyliving #oldsoul #collectandstyle #newpost by @sunsetsandoldsouls

"Hi, I’m Angie, aka Gigi. Welcome to Sunsets and Old Souls! At 53, with my boy twins grown and starting a new chapter, I bought an old farmhouse and land with ties to my childhood. I have always loved all things vintage. I love hearing people’s stories and sharing life experiences. Figured this is a place to jump in to share the journey. Ain’t no telling where I’m going just yet but I know there’ll be some restoration of an old house, curating my 30 year collection of vintage furniture, life in the country, and lots and lots of sunsets. Also expect a lot of hard work, family fun, and a soundtrack of good old music playing in the background. 🎶🏡I’m so glad you’re here for the ride. Hit follow to watch the story unfold and hope you enjoy all of our adventures along the way. #farmhouserenovation #countryliving #allthingsvintage #oldsoul #goldenhour by @sunsetsandoldsouls
