What a rollercoaster Donna Elvira has been.

She is such a complex character, and stepping into her shoes has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things I have done on stage. Every night she asks something different of me, vocally and emotionally, and I have loved finding new sides of her.

It has been wonderful to do this role debut at the Royal Opera House, which feels like my artistic home. I am so grateful to the whole company for making this possible.❤️

Giselle, we meet again 🤍
What a wonderful and unexpected gift to be in Tokyo and revisit this role one more time, with an extra performance to close my 2025/26 season with The Royal Ballet.

It feels incredibly special to finish the season with a ballet that has been part of my ballerina life for so long. I first danced Giselle when I was just 14 years old in Brazil, coached by my wonderful teacher @pattisalg at my ballet school @petitedanse . I could never have imagined then where this ballet would one day take me.
I’m grateful to be sharing the stage with @reececlarke_ and to spend these past few days being coached by the wonderful Olga Evreinoff, discovering new details and rediscovering the magic that makes this ballet so timeless.
Now, one last performance awaits on Saturday evening. I can’t wait to share this powerful story with our Japanese audience and celebrate the end of this season in the most meaningful way ❤️ by @sunyoungbae208
