Took some time off, cancelled my vacay just to reset. It’s been a while, keeping busy, going thru the motions not knowing what to do but pressing on. I’m going to figure it out. You will to. Don’t let the version of others they allowed you to see dictate where or how yours should be. Live, Learn and Love! by @superstar_1a

I stepped away for a while because I wasn’t okay. And in that silence, I learned a lot about myself. I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that I had to turn inward and take care of something deeper than what most people could see. The truth is, last year brought me to a place where I had to fight for my life and my peace at the same time. There are parts of that story I choose to keep for myself, but the growth from it is something I’m proud of. I got the help I needed, did the work, and I’m standing here today in a much better place than I was a year ago. Tomorrow, I turn 39. (Kevin Hart.. Damn) That alone feels like a blessing, a second chance, a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much I still have ahead. Praises to the Highest for keeping me, strengthening me, and guiding me through what I couldn’t carry alone. To anyone out there fighting a silent battle inside your mind, your heart, or your life, I see you. Keep going. There is strength in your survival and purpose in your becoming. I pray you find your way, even if it’s step by step. I’ve always been the one to show up for others, and that’s in me. But I’ve also learned that I have to protect my energy and choose myself without guilt or apology, not because I don’t care, but because I finally understand that I matter too. — 39 and becoming. by @superstar_1a
